ps. Is there blowdryers in the rooms?
Hi Lin, I found this from expedia website describing the rooms at the resort:
Deluxe Junior Suite (privilege not included): air-conditioning • full bathroom • TV • in-room safe • 1 king-size or 2 double beds • sofa bed • hairdryer • coffee-maker • mini-bar • iron • balcony • maximum occupancy 3 adults (or 2 adults and 3 children)
Hope that helps :) so excited for you!!! Have an amazing time!

Still haven't decided about going with Transat pkg or directly with hotel? Help ladies!
Hi Angelfire, for us we decided to go with the Transat wedding package "Bliss" and the main reason was it came with a cocktail hour before the wedding and it was still cheaper compared to the Coral package. What I did was made a list of important items I wanted to have for the wedding and basically chose the one that provided more value for our money. Which packages were you considering (Transat vs resort)?

Wow, only 8 days!! That's gone sooo fast!!

Good idea about pics for how you want your hair too - I may try that too!!

sounds like you'll be safe with your MOH there - always handy when you know useful people!

and great to see you soooooo excited (rather than stressing out!!)

ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm afraid I can't offer any input on that - I'm from the UK so that just sounds like a foreign language to me!! Sorry!

hahaha what a good idea!! i still don't know half the stuff that's on this site, or how to do things, or what you are and aren't allowed to do!! from personal experience, it's all trial and error!! let me know if there's anything specific you want to do and I'll see if I can be useful!!

Hi Bride to Be! Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

I am getting a professional photographer that rents a spot at OT, Ana the wedding planner will send you their prices. Then I am getting a photobook from them (it's included in the package I got), but also I am getting a disc of the pictures. Now when I go home I can get them developed some in black and white, some in color. I recommend using the resorts photograper, only because you know you can trust them to not only do a good job but also show up! I have set up a meeting with them when I get to the resort to negotiate on the current package I have and also plan certian poses, locations etc.

Good luck and I'm sure your day will be GORGEOUS!

hey Lin,

What's the name/company name for the onsite photographer?

We asked for more information but was only sent the package prices and not any names so we can look up their work so it would be really great if you could let me know that :)

Thanks.....only 5 DAYS now!!!!!!!!!!! shots.gif

Hi Katie,

This is the info Ana gave me when I asked about the resort photographer/sample of their work:

You can contact this person and she can send you the examples of the pictures.

Anita Morales [acmorales@hotel-shops.com]

Hope that helps!

Getting so excited for your Lin!!!

HAHAHA trust me I am SOOOO Excited!! I actually wrote a big beautiful post the other day, including that same photogrpaher's email and then *poof! it never showed up!! LOL... so I gave it a day and here I am trying again!!

SOOO excited!! bunny_4.gif

I'll definitly show pictures when I get back, I'll have to learn how to or I'll make a seperate photobucket account for all wedding pictures... there's going to be A LOT!! I am a bit of a picture whore! wink.gif

I dont have any new info to share but let me tell you this has NOT been easy!! Ana's been the easiest part, excited to finally meet her. Family drama, family drama, family drama, reception plans and a bum travel agent. The only thing I want to say is: DO WHAT YOU WANT! People will complain either way!!

I love my fiance SO MUCH and that's what matters. On our special day, on the beach, I'm not a bit nervous to say, "I do", and know I made the right choice.

Best of luck to all you beautiful Brides, and I'll post again when I get back!

woot.gif 2 MORE SLEEPS!! woot.gif

I hear ya!! lol we had the same dramas with family and friends...we phoned round everyone before we even started looking and asked 'if we get married in Mexico would you come?' so we knew if it was an option or not. everyone said yes...until it came to booking and asking for their money (we booked everyone on the same booking)...then we had all the dramas and the 'why don't you get married somewhere in Europe where its closer for people'.....BECAUSE WE DONT WANT TO GET MARRIED THERE!!!!!!!!!!!! haha but it's all booked now and I don't care...it's what me and future hubby want, so that's what we're doing :)

If you don't get a chance to come on again before you leave....have an amazing day, I'm sure you'll look beautiful and it will all work out just perfect!

Can't wait to see your pictures!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
