Hi Jennie,

I'm planning my wedding for Nov 2009 and it's getting a little nerve wrecking now b'cos it's less than a year away and I haven't chosen a resort.

Today, my TA recommended Ocean Turquesa and I would love to see photos of the resort. Could you please send me photos and wedding package info to jon.joann@gmail.com.

Hi girls, just a question about reception advice...I am having the dinner at the Turquesa in a private area (a la carte restaurant) but nooo idea what to do about the reception after..do we just have it in the lobby..outside by the pool..wherever the action is..?? That doesn't bother me..it's just how do we pull off the first dance and things like that? Thanks, Shelley

We brought our ipod/speakers with us, so we just set it up right there at the restaurant. Turns out they sent a trio over gratis, so during dinner and afterwards, we had the trio playing for us. Though we were very "go with the flo" as there were only 10 of us altogether

Hi everyone, I am interested in having my wedding at this resort too, hopefully in Dec. 09!

Has anyone heard much about the beach/ocean? I realize the resort is in Puerto Morelos, (more seaweed compared to Playa beach...)

Oh and will any of you ladies be going to their spa for your hair and makeup? Does this resort have its own photographer? Sorry so many questions!!!

I find it interesting that all the brides here looking at this resort are Canadian, except for Shelly who's going there for her HM. When we were at OB in Punta Cana, there was a really large Canadian contingent, compared to Americans. I wonder if these resorts are marketed more to Canadians than Americans?

OCEAN HOTELS - by H10 :: Set on one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in all of Bávaro-Punta Cana. Surrounded by thousands of palm trees....

but at the bottom of the page, it talks about the Dominican govt. I wonder if this package is applicable to Mexico resorts?
