Ocean Turquesa & Coral Brides?

Recommended Posts

Hey girls - I unfortunately heard from Daniel today and he is leaving the resort, just cynthia and ariel left!

Also have a question - does anyone have a wedding video they could pass on to me?  Wether it be their own or one that an already married bride has sent to them?  Hoping to be able to catch a glimpse of what a civil vs. a symbolic ceremony looks like!

Oh no! Daniel was my only contact! That's a little scary!

From what I understand a civil and symbolic ceremony are the same except ones legal and the other isn't. And from what I knoe you can customize with readings etc as you wish.

If you search "ocean turquesa wedding" on youtube there's a few there

Oh no! that's not good news...has anyone dealt with Cynthia or Ariel yet?

I'm curious for those who have already gotten married, or who are getting closer to the date and have this finalized, how we go about getting our info to the officiant, and how customized we can make the ceremony? I don't think we are writing our own vows, but I would like to send a sample of some basics that I would like included to the officiant ahead of time.  I would like my maid of honor to do a reading, and my fiancé wants to present my daughters with a gift, and Im concerned as to how this will all flow, if we don't get to meet with them and let them know?

Any advice would be super helpful. Thank you!

That's the 2nd wedding planner we have gone through so far... Ughh..

I just e-mailed Daniel yesterday with my finalized Wedding Guest List & Checklist, so hopefully someone gets back to me to let me know what is happening over there.

I wonder why they go through so many?? Doesn't look too good on the resort's behalf lol

Hi everyone. I am getting married at OCT on November 15, 2014. This forum has been so helpful to me... I have read all 200+ pages of posts! A few brides were asking about reasonably priced photographers in the Riviera Maya/ cancun/ playa del Carmen area, so I thought I would let you know who I went with. His name is Octavio Montes and the examples of his work on his website are amazing. It's www.octaviomontes.com if you want to check it out. His prices are great and he's offering 10% off to brides for his photography services. So far he has been very responsive and great to work with. I will def post a review after my wedding and let everyone know how it went with him and how the photos turned out. Can't wait... Only a couple weeks to go!!!

Hey Everyone,

I need some advice/opinions. I am having a small wedding about 15 guest plus my FI and I, so we will be doing an a la carte reception then joining the pool party. My question is when should we do our first dance/ father daughter dance? I thought of doing it on the beach after our wedding or bringing an iPod and plugging it somewhere at the resort to do the two dances? Has anyone tried either of these?

TIA

Hi Brides!

I haven't been on here in a while but heard from Daniel that he was leaving and Areli/Cynthia are now the coordinators. Based on what he said the new contact email is weddings.mex@oceanhotels.net which is different from the one Daniel was using. That may account for some of your problems of reaching someone. I just received some pretty quick responses using that email which is good since our wedding is on 11/11!! YIKES!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
