Ocean Turquesa & Coral Brides?

Recommended Posts

thanks jdavidso.  Hair and makeup is also in my package. Ana told me to book one month prior, don't see why I couldn't book it now since yours seems to be booked and I am getting married two days before you. I'll check with her again since I want to take it off my too do list :)

OCT Brides future and Veterans! I am in need of assistance. I am looking for someone who has or will be having their reception at the Villa Marina... I want to know how  much time you were given for your reception, is there an option to include a dance floor or anything like that? If you had to do it over again would you upgrade to the private reception? We will have between 30-50 guests and we are trying to decide if we should upgrade to the paradise package and have our reception on the ocean terrace. Thanks much ladies I look forward to hearing your opinions/experiences.

@andecker, I didn't get married at the Villa Marina, however I'm fairly certain they wouldn't let you have a dance floor because other people will be dining around you. If you're looking for a more private reception I'd upgrade to the Paradise Package and use the Lobby Terrace. It's spacious and can accommodate a dance floor....it would be perfect for 30 - 50 people.

Hello ladies!! My name is Emily and I am getting married at OCT 12/02/2012 at 4pm! I went to a friends wedding that was at OCT in Dec last year so I am familiar with the resort and how a lot of things work. It was such a beautiful flawless wedding my fiance and I could not resist going back and getting married! I wanted to ask if anyone had pictures of weddings at the rooftop terrace. We are torn between that and lobby terrace for our ceremony. We love the view from the lobby terrace but love the privacy/ arch that the rooftop has built in. Any thoughts...? After reading the posts about the salon I have decided to get my hair done there, though I am very nervous because I am very particular! I wanted to ask how much is it for the trial run or is that included in the 80 extra that you pay? I also wanted to ask for the brides that got married this year about the room upgrade. On the package it says that the bride and groom get a room upgrade if available. What does that mean??? Does that mean if I pay for an ocean view I will get privilege (since that is the next upgrade) (last year when I went as a guest we were automatically upgraded to ocean view because the resort is slow in December which was great!). Another booking question for brides getting married in the next few months... I noticed on oceanhotels website that there is a new discount if you book by oct 31 2012 and are staying from nov1 2012-2013 that you can get up to 40 percent off. Has anyone seen how that works? I called ocean hotels booking and they were vague about it. This is such an amazing deal for guests staying here I wanted to see if anyone will be using it or knows any details about it. Ok last booking question.. LOL! We decided not to do the group rate because it was cheaper/easier for everyone to do the online rate (170 per night). So we want to make sure everyone is in the same building, any suggestions on how to do this?? Thanks ladies! It is so great to have women on here that are all going through the same process, destination weddings are just so crazy! And again, if you ladies have questions I went to a wedding here so I might be able to help with some resort questions.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
