Thanks!

I am off to OCT in the morning!  Wish me luck.  Miss Sandy- I am sure I will run into you somewhere, somehow.  If not before your big day, have a wonderful wedding!  You did an amazing job planning and all of you hard work will show... :)

I'll report back with my reviews when I return!

Love,

Kristi

Hello Ladies - so happy I found this forum!  We've just recently booked for April 10, 2013.  Not sure if this is normal but the planning is taking over all of my spare time...lol.  When Ana originally sent me the wedding package and information it indicated that you aren't allowed to use outside photographers....has anyone had difficulties with this?

Thanks in advance for your help!  Keep the tips coming :)

@TropicLover-  Thank you for the advice on packing.  I just got done with getting all of my receipts in order! :-) So excited!!!!

@Kleenotes-  I am thinking of you this morning!  I am so jealous you are already there!   I hope I run into you!!!!!  I will be on the lookout for you on Tuesday and may peek at your wedding!  Don't worry I will not be the person gawking and taking pictures like some tourists do! LOL I 'll just be admiring how beautiful everything will look- including you!!!!!  I cannot believe the final stages are here!!!

Ladies, we have booked May 5, 2013 for our wedding at OCT. so excited! A friend gave us the idea to just do the ceremony and not setup the formal reception since we will be having one back home. Her point is that with the resort being all inclusive, why not go to dinner after or lounge around the pool bar- is it wasted money to do a reception there if we are having one here??? Also, i have setup a wedding website with all of the travel info- sending our save the dates soon only to the people we are inviting to mexico. Our STD's have our website on them so they will refer the guests to rsvp through our website and get all travel info from there. I dont think ill need to send out formal invites since the guests who are going will have already booked there trip by the time i would send these out? Then ill just send invites for our AHR closer to may. Thoughts???

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
