Ocean Turquesa & Coral Brides?

Recommended Posts

@CamilaS-  Honestly, the wedding is a reflection of you and your soon to be hubby so at the risk of sounding a bit selfish. . .don't worry about whether or not your girls will ever wear this color again.  I agree that brighter colors do look cool but soft colors can look just as nice.  Some girls on here did coral and turquoise because of the resorts name.. . I thought that was cool.  My fiancé and I are doing yellow, white and touches of pink based off of my fav color, fav Coldplay song and the type of orchids we chose for centerpieces.  Is there a particular flower you love that comes in certain colors?  What color makes you the happiest?

@Shanon09, No, I don't have it all nailed down yet.  I have decided on the lobby terrace for the ceremony, but haven't quite figured out the reception.  We have some older people coming and I think they will have a hard time on the sand, so I'm glad they have the terrace options!  I'm about to send out some save the dates and just put down a deposit for a block of rooms.  Have you sent out any save the dates?  I didn't know if it was too soon, but I felt like people have been asking me about it so much, it was the right thing to do.

Has anyone used any of the musicians, mariachi band, trio, guitarist etc??  We would like to consider some live music for the ceremony and cocktail hour, but I haven't heard any reviews yet.  Thanks!

@Sandy Borie - You're so sweet Sandy! thanks for responding to my post.

I couldn't agree more with you that the wedding is in essence a reflection of me and my future husband so I guess I'll just follow my heart and try to make a decision :)

WOW, yellow and pink were actually the colors I was  thinking about. I do like yellow a lot and it's my mom's favorite color so I think it would be a nice way to show her my appreciation. As for the flower, I don't have one specific type that is my favorite but I LOVED the bouquet of pink roses I saw somewhere in here. My second option would be turquoise and pink. I'll keep looking and will let you know what I decide! Thanks again for taking the time to help me. I really appreciate it! cheesy.gif

Camilla S.  I agree with Sandy! While planning my wedding I have learned to really follow your instincts.  I know that sounds cliche, but it is so true.  If there is a little voice inside your head telling you what to do: Listen to it.  You won't regret it.

I think both of your color options would be beautiful in pics.  The bright colors make gorgeous photos, but so do the soft!  I think you really can't go wrong with your ideas!  Your mom's fav. color is yellow?  That is so sweet to consider using it! :)

Good luck to you- we patiently awake to see what you choose!

@archlily- yeah that's a good idea for older guests! We are having a beach ceremony, we haven't quite pinned which spot we want for our reception. We are opting for the private dinner and definitely want it to be outside, probably the terrace! We actually did not send out save the dates! We just asked close family and friends to come and then are gong to have another reception/party when we get home to celebrate with everyone! So our group is around 20 people. I haven't heard anything about the musicians they have at the resort so I am no help there! Sorry about that! @camilla s- we are having such a hard time with colors as well! I did pick out a yellow bridesmaid dress that I wanted everyone to wear but we just aren't completely sold on anything yet! But it probably doesn't help that I'm super indecisive too!! :) so don't worry you are not alone! ** who is everyone using for hair and make up?!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
