That is great news! :-) Another question: Does anyone know the name or contact of excursion companies that leave from the hotel?  I am trying to put together an email with some excursion options that my guest can start to look at.  I remember TraficTours! was the name of a company at the hotel that was our shuttle service but they also did excursions but it seems they changed their name to Sunexcursions from what I was able to gather on the internet. Anyway, any help with this will be greatly appreciated! :-)

We booked all of our excursions through the hotel at the TraficTours desk.  I also emailed them ahead of time to get an idea on pricing, etc....they were very quick to respond.   Here's the contact info:

Antonio Herrero or Mario Pirez.

Hello! I see you seem to have quite a bit of knowlage with weddings and all that comes with it at the Turquesa and Coral hotel... Can you guide me to where i can get all the info on packages?

My fiance and I are looking for an easy going but pretty reception in the caribbean and we love Mexico. I need to find a location quickly as we will be heading up for a vacation end of the summer and would like to visit where we will do it for the following summer.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hello Ladies,

It seems like I have a date!!! June 23, 2013 :)  SO exciting!

I do have a question for whoever has already had the wedding there though. At this point we reserved 5:30pm for the ceremony and I would like to hear your opinion on these. Our thought is that we do not want our guests to be too uncomfortable with the heat that's why we decided on getting married at 5:30pm. On the other hand, I'm trying to figure out if this is a great decision. Will we have enough time for pictures before sunset??

Please let me know what your thoughts are. We still have time to change the time if we need to do so.

Thanks a lot

Camila

@CamilaS- Our wedding is this year on July 13 at 5:30pm and Ana was the one who actually suggested that time for exactly that reason! But I will let you know if it was still too hot for my guests.  My fiance and I are going to do formal pics before the ceremony so that we can enjoy our cocktail hour (6-7)and not run out of time before the sunset which is around 7:30. I hope this helps you and Congrats!!!!!

@Sandy Borie- Thank you so much for getting back to me! Your message certainly helped calming me down a little bit :)

I know it's more than 1 year away but I just can't stop thinking about everything. haha

Please keep me posted. I'd love to hear all about it

Good luck and let me know if there's anything I can do to help!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
