Ocean Turquesa & Coral Brides?

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies!

So I'm wondering what some of you are doing for wine at dinner.  I have the Paradise Package and I'm not sure if wine is included with dinner.  I know Ana sent me the wine upgrade list and the prices were ridiculous.  For the ladies that have been to the resort how would you rate the house wine?  Btw I'm not a wine connoisseur or anything, lol, but I just want make sure it doesn't taste like feet or something haha.

Thanks!

Well, that last post didn't come out exactly as planned lol.  This is what I meant to post:

Hi ladies, this is my first post, hopefully it works!

I am getting married at the OCT on April 12th. I'm having a tough time swallowing the 300 + 80pp day pass vendor fee that the resort charges for external photographers.. I've seen on here that some people have been able to talk Ana down, but so far she's been firm on that quote for us. Any ideas?

Friends of our had their photos done by Sascha Gluck and they turned out beautifully. To anyone going with him: His work is amazing, I'm sure you'll love your photos!

Also, did anyone do a slideshow at their reception? If so, did you bring your own projector or does the resort have one we can use?

Thanks for all your help everyone!

Awesome! Congrats! I'm excited to hear the good news about Sascha because he's our photographer :-)

The vendor fee is brutal isn't it?  We haven't been able to budge with it either.  If it makes you feel better we were originally quoted $400 and then I saw the $380 online so we were able to change it.

I'm not doing a projector, but the hotel will charge you to rent one.  I received an audio visual pricing list not too long ago and I think the projector's range from $70 - 200.  I'll look around for it and pm you.

Thanks for the feedback!  What are you doing for dinner wine?  Are you skipping it or upgrading?

@Tropic Lover

My fiance and I had the house wine at the mexican restaurant I remember and it was not good.  We skipped wine at the resort altogether and ordered mixed drinks (the mojitos were exceptional).

I would upgrade the wine if that is what you think your wedding guests will opt for.  Could you PM me the Audio Visual price list?

Thanks Sandy!  With two people saying stay away I think I might just do that ;-)

I'll send you the list asap.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
