Hey lady's

I have heard that the H10 property has a beautiful garden wedding location on there property.  I was just wondering if any of u have pictures of this area as I can seem to find any.  I am booked for aventura cove at the moment but I am worried that pricing is going to come in to high for our guest.

Thanks!

Hey Girls!  So I have been on this site for a while but have not yet posted!  I love all the great information!

My Fiance and I are getting married at OCT on April 20, 2012 and have been working with Ana to plan.  We have over 70 people coming which is crazy!!  Ana has been great but takes a little while to get back to us.   She has emailed me pictures of flowers, along with her florists website, and pictures of cocktail hour/ceremony and reception set up.  If anyone wants any of this stuff let me know and I'll be happy to share!

We are booking an outside photographer and I was wondering what everyone else is being charged for this?

From what I read you do NOT want to go with their photographer.  Let me know what you guys are being charged for this, I think its crazy to be charged extra for something that they are NOT providing a service for.

Also we are having cocktail hour on the beach with appetizers and alcohol along with a mariachi band.  Anyone else doing a cocktail hour?  I would love to compare prices.

My parents went to visit OCT and sat down with Ana, they said she was very nice and accomadating and that the resort was beautiful (they took a lot of pictures if you guys would like to see).

Welcome DalChrisWedding!!!!!

I am also having a cocktail hour on the beach with the mariachi band!!!!  Our wedding date is July 13, 2012.  We are soooo excited.  Do you have the prices for the cocktail hour?  There are four cocktail hour menu choices. I have a document with them if you want them. Just let me know.  Can you send me the website for the florist? That would be super helpful for me!  Ana does take a while to write back but I heard she is super organized and wonderful when you are there so I try not to worry about that.  We decided to go with an outside photographer as well and are paying the outside vendor fee as well as the day pass for both the photographer and their assistant. Ugh.. .   but from what I read, this is completely worth it!  We ended paying about 2500 usd for our photographer. It depends on your budget but that was a place both my fiance and I were not going to cut costs.  Are on facebook?  Would you be willing to post your pics to FB and friend me so I can see them? Thanks!

Hi Ladies, we're also having an outside photographer and have to pay the outside vendor fee and the day pass fee. I've seen that other brides have gotten Ana down to $200 for the outside vendor fee, we have to pay $300, but I'm hoping to negotiate with her when we get there.

I also wanted to share this information that our wedding planner just got from the officiant's that OCT uses, I found it very helpful and great to hear that they really tailor the ceremony to the couple:

In our web page you and the bride will find the different tipes of ceremonies that we officiate.
It is:
www.cancunweddingofficiant.com
There is An info sheet to be filled up by tha bride and the groom.
According to that, we design a tailor made wording which varies in every event, depending on their beliefs, time together, special interests, etc.
All this within the structure called Wedding Format.

Hello Ladies,

Please help me! We are just beginning the planning process and i am completely lost... i dont even know where to start... we are planning our wedding for february 2013 at the OCT.... i have emailed ana and although it took her some time to reply she emailed me last week, ive emailed her back but since it has been taking so long to get information from her i was hoping you ladies could help me. I was wondering if any of you were given specific dates a year in adavance and if not should i be sending some kind of "save the date" invites to my guests? Also i have a large amount of guests coming to our wedding (approx. 125) and i was hoping to get a better price on the trip as well as some sort of deal for the bride and groom... so if anyone would be willing to share their deals with me that would be greatly appreciated! One last thing DalChriswedding i would love to see any sort of photos you would be willing to share! Thank you in advance to anyone who is willing to help me out! any sort of advice will be so much appreciated!

Hi DalChrisWedding,

Welcome!

I am having a cocktail hour with mariachi band too but on the lobby terrace.

Prices depend on how much food (I think the price is between $16 and $18 per guest for 6 pieces of appetizers) and alcohol (price is $10 per guest for open bar) you get plus the band ( I forgot the price but it is in the . I am planning on getting less food than I have guests. People will not each eat 6 pieces and the cocktail hours is right before dinner, so was thinking of getting food for only about 75% of guests. Since the cocktail hours is on the lobby terrace I do not have to pay for alcohol because we will be using the lobby bar. We will be having waiters bring alcohol from the lobby bar.

I am getting an outside photographer too. I am also getting an outside DJ. You can either pay the vendor fee or you can make them part of the guests list ( they need to be hotel guests and be part of the wedding list for food).

Ana is absolutely wonderful. I have met her twice as I was there two times already. She is great. She spend a lot of time to make sure she gets all the information about what I want, give me options so that everything will be exactly the way I wanted it. Sometimes she takes longer to respond, but I think it is dependent on how far away your wedding is and how busy she is at the time with weddings.

I took a bunch of other pictures last time I visited, so let me know if you are interested and I can share them.

Happy Planning!

Hi teganandtyler,

Welcome!

Do not worry about Ana, she will get back to you.

For the date, you should tell her what date you are interested in. She will put a hold on it and when you pay the deposit it will be booked for you. The deposit is $200.

We got a pretty good deal on the rooms directly from OCT (it was much better than anything we received from travel agencies).  You should ask Ana about a quote, but you fist need to have a date. We worked out a contract with them, that took a little longer to finalize but we are very happy with how it ended up. The booking block gives you some perks too. Happy to chat more. PM me if you have more specific questions.

Happy to share other indo, documents that I have. Just PM me.

Happy Planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
