Ocean Turquesa & Coral Brides?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys! I haven't been on here in a while but am excited for some soon to be brides getting married in November!!!!!!! How are things going so soon towards the wedding? Keep us updated, I love coming on here and reading the posts from brides who just got back. Also congrats TriSportBride! :D So Ana finally got back to me with a price for just the 3 cylinder glass vases for each table. . . Are u ready for the price? 48 dollars!!!! For 3 glass cylinders, no flowers or anything! I nearly fell over. Am I being unreasonable? I think it is awfully expensive. I am going to try to talk her down. Here in the states, I found a site that would ship it to me for way less but do I really want to fly down with who knows how many glass vases? Anyway, hope everyone is having fun planning. I am totally in my element with the planning. I am having soooooo much fun. Next project is sending out invites in January. I found this great website- weddingpaperdivas.com. I used them for my save the dates and they came out wonderful! You can customize them any way you want. Shipping was fast and I was super impressed with the service. I will post some pics later this week. We went with the artistic orchid STD and invites because it fit with our yellow orchid island chic theme but you can customize the color to your wedding colors. Happy planning!:D Sandy

Hello! We are getting married at Ocean Coral March 27, 2012 at five pm. We are confirmed 30 guests so far and expect a few stragglers We have booked a photographer, bought my dress and are working on the package details with Ana. We are trying to decide whether to get 1 or 2 extra hours. Is there a bar where guests can party after our reception is over? We are planning on having the reception at 630/7 until 11 or 12. Very excited!

@ JBandDJ, you're getting married 5 days after we are, that's exciting! What date do you arrive at the resort, we're traveling from Vancouver from March 18-25, 2012.

Our travel agent was just down at the resort and checked out a few places for us to party at, the Disco is open until I believe 2 or 4 am at the resort, and another bride who was just down at the resort said that this area is also open until 1 am and plays music and people were partying there:

Happy Planning!

Hi guys,

My fiance and I were just there in July and I don't remember there being a disco but every night there was dance party by the lounge area pool/bar where people always went to party and drink. I think the music was done by 1am. We plan on continuing the party there after our reception.

AwayWeGo:  That's great news!!!  I haven't been able to find anything about there being a disco.  A lot of our friends are attending and they are looking to PARTY so I'm thrilled to read that they actually DO have a disco (it's not just for the preferred club is it?).  What plans have you made so far?  What package are you going with, etc?  We arrive the 24th and are staying for 2 weeks; however, the majority of our guests are arriving the 25th for a week.  I cannot open the attachment you posted.....

HI everyone,

Im not really new to the thread but kinda stalking it for the past 6 months here and there! I have a couple answers to peoples questions about the resort i have been there multiple times! I am getting married there in April 2012 but have yet to set a exact date since i keep going back and forth on timing! Anyway enough about me i just wanted to answer some quetions that i had seen others have...JBANDdj- to answer about the disco, there isnt a disco but they do have the american sports bar that is open later in the evening that has a pool table and a small dance floor. Usually its pretty lame but if you get a big enough group in there they will turn on some music and you can dance but its not always hopping. I was there last week and the staff was awesome enough to turn the tunes on for our small group who like to dance! As for night life its not super party crowd time atmosphere. The lobby usually has kareoke once in awhile and they will do random dj's at the pool bar but the music is random as well. This resort is not known for huge party crowds but with your own group i feel you can make your own fun! If anyone needs info on the resort i would be happy to answer questions, i know some basics about cancun and playa del carmen as well! Hope to hear more of everyones plans :)

The bar is actually open till 6am in the morning. I checked when I was there in July. Our plans are to convince Ana to let us have the reception till 1am ( I don't see why that would not be possible since they have the lounge area till 1am) and then move the group to the bar.

Ladies, I am going down there in December again. I will be there between Dec 8th and Dec 11th. Let me know if you want me to check stuff for you, take pictures, etc.

@ StephM

I am planning to book my photographer a room and have them as part of my guests. This way, she will not make me pay the fee (it will be slightly cheaper in total), they will have a place to sleep after the weddinga and they will also be able to eat at some point in the night

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
