Ocean Turquesa & Coral Brides?

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies,

I see there is a lot of discussion about photographers right now... from my experience with the resort photographer I would definitely reccommend you all hire someone from outside the resort!  I was happy with how our pictures turned out but like I said in some of my older posts... I was discusted with the photoshop's customer service/lack of it. They were a nightmare to deal with and my one and only regret from our trip/wedding was not paying the extra to hire someone else!

Hi Aubrey,

My Husband and I were legally married at OCT in August 2010, and we received our marriage certificate 4 months later.  I am not sure what the process is in the States... but in Ontario I just had to take it to be translated/notorized (which cost approx $30) and then it was legal and I could changed my name etc.  It was actually much easier than I thought it was going to be.  Hope this helps.

Whitney

Hey Summer Dawn,

We are from Canada also. We booked ours through Airtransat, and they were PHENOMINAL! a month before our wedding we got a call from the rep saying transat wanted to give us a wedding gift, they upgraded me and my husband to first class both to and from mexico... AND since all our guests booked through them too (we didn't give them an option really) airtransat 'gave' us our wedding package... thats right... theypayed for our whole package, including the excess guests. We ended up adding on  tons of extras when we got to the resort with ana, since that 2000 we expected to pay transat for our wedding package was taken care of! I can not give any higher praise from how we were treated by air transat! I can give any of you our reps name and number, she was so amazing, and went SOO above and beyond, like answering phone calls at 8 pm on friday nights. If you are going from canada, airtransat is the way to go!

For all the recent brides, is there any nightlife at the resort?  I know i read somewhere someone mentioned the resort was getting a disco, so I was wondering if there was one now.  Thanks!

Also the seaweed looks like it is in almost every picture that I have found on this thread.  Does it look bad?  If anyone has more pictures, please PM me! I would appreciate seeing more photos!

Hi Sandi!

I'm new to this website and am hoping to plan my wedding for the OC&T next March.  If you still have your package/pricing info and would be willing to forward it to me it would be much appreciated!  Is Fb the best way to exchange such information?

I'm looking forward to following this thread!!

  Thanks,

      Sara

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
