Ocean Turquesa & Coral Brides?

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies..

We are getting married at OTC on May 21st and I'm having trouble making the last few decisions, so I thought you all could help.  We're planning on the ceremony being on the beach, and the cocktail hour as well.  We were also hoping to do dinner outside on the terrace.  I'm just having troucle picturin geverything since I haven't seen actual wedding photos from the location.. I would love to see any that you have to share, my email is jenngraleski@gmail.com

Also, what did you all do for your rehersal dinner.  I've just received an email from Anna that to do it anywhere besides the buffet is $20 per person extra, did you all pay this.  Suggestions are welcome.

Thank you,

Jennifer

Oh! And the outside photographer fee was 400 USD we talked her down to 200 USD after another bride told me that's what she got them to agree to. Also, word of experience... our package included pictures from the resort, and even though i hired an outside photographer and payed the fee, i figured since my package included the resorts photographer, I should still be allowed to have them there too (it's more pictures right??) anyways, on our last day there we went and viewed the photo's at the hotel gift shop and they were HORRIBLE!!!! we were allowed to chose 25 to be printed off to take home with us... we could only find 23 (out of the 150 that were taken) that were okay. We ended up getting doubles of a few of them as we coujldn't find 25 we even liked! DONT REGRET IT! pay the 200 USD fee to get your photographer on site. We hired Sascha Gluck, and we LOVED him!!!

Can I ask what you are paying for a package there from Canada? I am waiting to hear back from my TA and I am wondering what approx prices are like from there. Thanks!

I could not agree with Jacquelyn more.... pay the extra $200 to have an outside photographer and I promise it will be the best $200 you will ever spend!!!  We also paid the $200 fee and hired Lincoln from Moments That Matter Photography and are unbelievably happy that we did - he's fantastic!  I have several of our wedding pics on FB as well (Lisa Maria Fleury), feel free to add me as a friend too so that you can take a peak :)

If you bring your own photographer, and just have them stay there as part of your group (mine was only there for 3 nights) there is no problem.  I knew a photographer from my hometown and had her come with as part of my group and the hotel knew that she was a "paying guest" so there was no charge for her.  You can look at my pics on facebook as well.  Aubrey Green, or the photographer is on facebook as well and she is under Studio Noveau Photography.  Best wedding decision that we made was to bring her.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
