We are looking into resorts and planning our wedding for January 2012. My fiance's parents were at this resort in January and said it was amazing, but very quiet and like you mentioned in previous posts not too much nightlife. We have been to a destination weddings at Dreams in punta Cana but we didnt like that area of the beach so much- we are trying to choose something diffrent. Seems that travel agents like to push the Majestic Colonial (they have 2-3 weddings a day there) but I dont really want to be 1 of 3 weddings in a day. We are thinking of this resort and trying to keep the budget ot 1500 per person so its more afordable for our guests. we plan on having anywhere from 25-40 people. Does anyone have any suggesstions? We want dominican either somewhere on Punta Cana Bavaro beach or at this resort. I would love any insight.

Hi! Great to hear this. I am planning for next August.  What are of the resort were you married? Any hiccups? Were you able to upgrade any parts of the package to your liking? Were the staff flexible?

I have booked my wedding at this resort for May 9, 2012, but haven't heard much back from the coordinator other than confirmation of the wedding date itself!

Hi, just confirmed a  date for 04/2013 at this resort. The coordinator is a little hard to get in touch with. I had to end up calling her. I also tried cc'ing this address on the emails to the coordinator to see if i get a quicker response gerenteventascompsam@bahia-principe.com. My concerns for this location is the wedding decore. Yes, i know it's a destination wedding, but i'd still like the decor to be a bit more up to date or chic. I do like the fact that it's on a secluded island. This way the guests get to experience something different outside of the gigantic resorts in Punta Cana or Puerto Plata. Can anyone share their own wedding/reception pictures from this hotel?

 

I was also considering Majestic Elegance. Their packages are more expensive tho.

Okay, you were able to confirm for April? That is good news for us; we are trying to get for July that same year. We are hoping we will have some more luck booking when we get our travel agent stuff organized.

 

If you search through here, there are some pictures someone posted a while ago. I also have the pictures that the coordinator first sent me when I first inquired (they are the exact same as the ones on here). Maybe that will help? I would also check out tripadvisor for pictures; don't pay attention to the comments, but pictures might help.

 

The idea of it being on its own island really sold us on that place too!

I was able to confirm the date. i did see the decor/reception pictures they send you and i've also some research on trip advisor aswell. what travel agent are you using? are they putting together packages for the guests that allow them to make payments?
