Cabo flower quote

All the cabo brides -

Does anyone have info on the cost of bulk flowers? I'm thinking of just buying red roses in bulk and fixing centerpieces myself. Mariana at Dreams quoted me $40 for a dozen roses which seems high. Does anyone have any other vendors for cheaper bulk roses?

Ladies - this may not EXACTLY answer your question, but I purchased 9 total bunches of flowers from Floreria Pamela in San Jose for $225. So that would be an average price per bunch of $25.

I purchased 3 bunches of light pink roses, 3 bunches of light pink gerberas and 3 bunches of fuschia gerberas.

When we were there in February for our site visit, Mega didn't have ANY flowers and Costco had kinda a sad selection. Their smaller bouquets of mixed florals were nice, but nothing you would use for a wedding- these were the best looking flowers out of all of them. Their roses were expensive (It seems like I remember $30 a dozen, I can't remember!) and they were wilted and not good quality. I'm sorry I didn't pay better attention to the price, but after looking at their flowers we decided it would be for emergencies only! Come to think of it though, we were there on Valentines day, so that could be why the roses were more expensive.

Woohoo- Tammy we can probably take a couple hours some day to go do a little BDW scouting if you want! lol

I ended up just deciding to pay through the nose for the Dreams flowers. I'm kinda running out of steam and this is one of those things I felt like I'd just let go. I'm paying for two large centerpieces to go in front of the gazebo- $150 each, with an additional cost of $38 each to rent the pillars they stand on. I'm paying $50 for petals to go in the aisle. My bouquet will be 24 red roses and the cost is $100. My bridesmaid's bouquet is half the size of mine and $50. We're getting the free bout for Jeff. Mariana gave me a quote of $50 each (4 total) for my drowned red rose centerpieces I want. We will move the centerpieces that go in front of the gazebo to the reception area so those will do double duty.
We had debated doing the flowers ourselves, but I honestly do not want to have to stress about flower the day before or the day of the wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
