Cracked the casing, ruined it, ruined the memory card, everything. And the store wouldn't take it back because I'd taken it to about 12 feet. A deep swimming pool can actually damage it.

You're much better off with the casing that Jean Marcus suggests - it will go to 25-50 feet depending what you buy, which is good enough for any snorkeling, and if you get a 50-footer should work for shallow scuba trips.
im gonna have to let a friend of mine knows who just got one of those... i dont think she has taken it swiming or anything yet. mainly we just have fun with it by throwing it in someones drink at a party haha

Olympus Stylus 790SW 7.1MP Waterproof Digital Camera with Dual Image Stabilized 3x Optical Zoom (Orange)
7.1-megapixel CCD captures enough detail for photo-quality 15 x 20-inch prints
2.5-inch HyperCrystal LCD screen minimizes glare
3x optical zoom; Face Detection technology
Waterproof (down to 10 feet), freeze-proof, and crush-proof design
27 Shooting modes; in-camera editing options
Just an aside (don't mean to hijack), but I just wanted to say you should be very happy with your Olympus. I'm on my third Olympus camera (keep upgrading, I'm a bit of a photo nut), and have no complaints whatsoever.

We got disposable waterproof cameras for our OOT bags. At Kmart I think. They were probably $12 each but we have very few people coming to our wedding so we only had to buy 4 or 5. Don't know how good the pictures will be. I think we got cameras like this when we went to Hawaii a few years ago and the pictures were fine. I have a feeling FI 11 year old neice will be the one using them the most. cheer2.gif

i havent heard very reliable things about those bags.. they are difficult to operate and well. i just dont trust a bag when it comes to going underwater...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
