Ok so I am SOOOO depressed! I ordered invites I saw the proofs never caught on............ Invites came looked at them like twice did not notice and then it came to me it says DOMINICA REPUBLIC............. AHHHH!!

Emailed the women who did them and said she can try fitting the "n" in if there is room but cannot do them all over w/o me paying again..........

So heres my story let me know what you think....... Dominica is the way the people of Dominican say it so I was being traditional... hahah......... Will people buy it?

WHY does this have to happen to the most ANAL person alive!

Help! Cant afford to repay and there is not enough room taht I can see!

i think if you didnt notice it, most people wont either. if anyone asks, just say "oh well you are supposed to be formal on invites so i used the traditional word"

I agree with Abbie. I think we (brides) take our invites way more seriously than the recipients do. Most of them don't even pay attention to them at all. I wouldn't spend a lot of money to have them redone.

They definitely won't notice, but if you want a correct one to be framed or something for you to have then I would pay for that one. For your own piece of mind. I'm sure your invites will be so cute that they won't even see the error.

I agree to just leave them. Honestly people usually look and toss invites so I wouldnt waste the extra money reprinting. I think your story on saying it like the locals is great!

I don't think it's a problem at all. Dominica is fine.

I wouldn't sweat it either, but being a meticulous and anal bride myself hehehe, if you want some ideas on how to fix or tinker with it ~ maybe post some pics of the invite so we can get a better idea of what we're working with. Otherwise, I say forge ahead, your guests will probably not even notice!

I agree with the other girls, no big deal just sent it out with Dominica. If you didnt notice chances are your guests wont either. Guests seem to just glance over invitations, they wont even realize the mistake. And if they do, you just say "that's how you say it in the Dominica Republic"

I would also leave them as is not sure people would notice.
