Too hot, hot, hot? June 09

Recommended Posts

Hey Riviera Maya/Cancun ladies:

I'm starting to get nervous that we are going to be hot for our wedding. My FH had two request, one - to get married on the beach, two - to not be hot. I know it's hard to get one without the other but I'm starting to get nervous that we're going to be hot with the humidity in June. We're both from AZ and used to heat, but not humidity.

Do any June brides have suggestions or thoughts on being hot? Our ceremony is at 5:30, hoping it will cool off a bit.

Wedding date is now set in stone, so no way to move it but just looking for some advice on how to keep it as cool as possible.

Thanks!

I think it will be fine with the beach breeze. You could always bring raffia hand fans to cool your guests and FH off. I am getting married in August and I heard it's super hot in Mexico then, so I am bringing the fans along and I am going to ask for a table with pina coladas and strawberry daquiris for my guests to grab as soon as the ceremony ends.

I am getting married on June 26, 2009 at 4:30pm and I am pretty sure that if you get married on the beach the breeze of the water will cool everyone down. I am not worried at all. If you notice in a lot of the pictures of brides and grooms getting married on the beach...their hair is CRAZY blowing. I think you are safe! What date did you pick?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
