Anyone working with Tai Flora?

Recommended Posts

I have inquired to Tai about a couple bouquets and this is what I am doing and some costs.

You get a free bouquet with the free package (MOH is using this ...its carnations or daisy's)...then I am ordering a bouquet for myself which is $90. My boutinierres are (i think) $15 a piece. I didn't find them too unreasonable considering its a destination wedding and you don't have many options for flowers.

OOOOO Fantasy Florial was awesome when I talked with them in the begining stages of our wedding search. I was married at a resort that would not allow outside vendors and even with that said I still checked into other local florists in the Negril area... just to see about pricing differences and if it was worth it to take a cab and pick up my items... Then I tried the silk route which did not go at all as planned... (you can find a thread on that one) Eventually with only a few weeks till my wedding I just ended up using who the hotel uses .. which is Tia Floral... I loved my flowers that were provided.. but I am still thinking on the possible idea of what they would have been like if Floral Fantasy was like. I guess it's you never know... Def email Floral though and you can get a vibe from that ... or give them a call ... I think they may have an 800 number... they are quick to respond back and very nice.

Thanks so much for the info! Its so difficult to make a decision when all you're seeing is their websites, and tai floral has a really nice website and fantasy's could probably use a lil work, haha. smile03.gif

Hi Bashigyal,

I have been negotiating with Tai Flora via my wedding co-ordinator since January 2013;my wedding will be in Montego Bay in July 2013. Im facing the same difficulties you are. I LOVE their floral arrangements and decor, but I was blown away by the first estimate which was double my initial budget for flowers. Obviously flowers cost more than we thought! lol ..Ive tried to make changes for example removing the coloured table cloths and replacing them with the white, provided by my venue;taking over the decorating of my cocktail tables and removing small items like petals for my flower girl, which i can provide on my own. So you can try that also. It's still high tho!!! I also found that they seem to take a while in responding to emails requesting info and quotes so I started looking around. While venue hunting in Mobay, I was put on to  "Grande Garden" by the Hilton hotel, they provide a full decor service;flowers, rentals, and consultancy as to the look you want. The contact person is Charmaine, and since I called her last week, i have to say i'm pretty impressed. She was prompt in sending an estimate, then followed up with a phone call;very conversational and seems to have a lot of experience. The prices weren't LOW, but they were a bit better than Tai without compromising on quality. What I liked also is that they only do one wedding per day, so you have her full attention for the wedding day. From one bride to the next, i'd say definitely give her a call. Website: grandegarden.com, or give her a call 13052838975 and she will give you some local contact details. Hope this helps! Do you have any recommendations for someone to do the cake??

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
