That sucks about your ankle. I hurt my foot this weekend, so I guess I won't be able to do The Shred. So frustrating!

I just logged on to photobucket to post my pic of this week's weigh-in. Apparently they're doing site maintenance. Not sure how long that will last.

and i finally got back to curves today (hadn't been there in over a week), and found some motivation there too. there's a little bulletin board on the wall where the owner cut out shamrocks with a person's name and weight loss on it, and posted them up under categories ... well there are shamrocks up under 5 lbs lost, 10 lbs, and a few (including mine) are under the big #20, but NO ONE has a shamrock posted under 30 lbs lost ... yet!

when i was leaving, i told carol she'd be moving my shamrock there before the end of the month, and i meant it! so that's my mini-goal for march.
That's great Lisa!

Seeing the list definitely motivated me, but that's because I'm LAST. lol When I joined the contest I knew I wouldn't win because I was already at a really low weight right before my wedding, but since then I've gained. I was hoping that I could get below my starting weight before the contest ended, but these weeks are going by way too fast. It might not happen. But I'm going to keep trying. I don't want to be the only one who gained during the contest! I have been REALLY good the last 4 days. Hopefully I can keep it up until the contest ends.

So I totally forgot it was Wednesday! I am watching my nephew today and normally he doesn't come until 1pm but today he came at 6:30am. So I've been up since then w/ him and my daughter. Having 2 under 1 keeps you busy, can't imagine how Savannah does it w/ 4! So FI just reminded me and i ran down and weighed myself. i weighed myself last night and was down .3lbs but since I had breakfast and just finished lunch i came in up 1.2 so hopefully I'll have a big "loss" next week!

inching closer to my march mini-goal! i'm sure there are ladies who attend my curves who have lost more than 30 lbs since they started there--they just must not still get weighed/measured anymore. anyway, if (i mean WHEN) i make my goal, i will be the ONLY one on the board who has lost more than 30 lbs ... it will feel good to be #1 in weight loss *somewhere*, LOL! (you BDW ladies are tough competition!)

on that, since i have such a huge amount of weight to lose, i do find that sometimes it is helpful to set smaller goals. it's like when you have a seemingly insurmountable to-do list: it's nice to be able to check items off when you're finished!

it is nice to see more chat on this thread. keep up the good work ladies! and kelly, you are NOT last ... all those ladies who gave up and dropped out are last!

ann, how many weigh-ins are left after today's? i'm all confused by the weeks because i *think* you counted our initial weigh-in as "week one," which meant after one week of biggest loser it said "week 2 results" (i would have considered that the end of the first week).

sorry ... i really can't think of anything that's upper body only that i'd consider "fun." that really sucks that you've hurt your ankle! exercising in a pool is a very good idea if you have somewhere you can go to do it. even if there's not a water aerobics class, you could swim.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
