Where did you get your logo?

Recommended Posts

As I read through all the very helpful posts, I am most taken by the fact that so many of you have lovely logos/monagrams! I'm guessing not all of you are graphic design artists, so where did you get them? They are all so cute!smile159.gif

oh no - not this girl! there are some DIY gals, and they have instructions, but I got mine from Aylee - she's a Knottie that makes them for you - i think she'll do 1 or 2 for free, but I got like 6 for $10

i can't find her website though - but someone will post it! then another common one is Creative Montage... For Today's Sophisticated Bride

ok, found Aylee - { aylee designs }

I made my own - in fact I made like 10 of them lol. I got some instructions from Maria (Mikkistreak) I'm not sure if she still has the instructions but they were super easy. I'm perhaps the least creative person on this earth and I could do it - and after making all of them, I made one that I really love. I think Paula V made hers through Maria's instructions if you want to see an great example.

SUPER easy, and free!

Thank you guys so much! How on earth do you write back so quickly? The only reason I was able to check again was because I am a little under the weather today, and therefore not at work.

I'm probably going to sound silly, but two questions:

1) How on earth do you make it yourself?

2) What do you guys mean by 'you made 10?' Do you mean that you picked 10 different designs, and then picked one to be the final one?

I will most likely use one of the websites posted, but if you say it is so easy to make it yourself, I may do that! I mean, I have 8 months smile67.gif

Ok - first of all, we all reply so fast because we're at work!!

Maria's instructions used Powerpoint, so you need that to make them and from there you can be as creative as you want. I made ten (lol, I know - sad), because they're easy enough to make and I got to have "creative" control and change colours, fonts and pictures as I wanted. Honestly, it's probably the easiest wedding related project I've done so far. Anyways, ya - I finally managed to pick my favourite, I'd show you the outcome, but it's on my home computer.

i have 6 different monograms (Aylee made them for me). some say our names, some just our initials, some just our wedding location - and i can use them for different things. like i wanted something w/just the wedding location and date for the OOT bags, i didn't want to plaster our names all over their bags! here are some of Aylee's examples ... { aylee designs } - Projects

I used Word to make mine... and I have made about 30 different designs! Once you have the fonts (Dafont.com), clipart, and some ideas then you can go from there!

I got mine from aylee too, she does one for free. But I also got the instructions from mikkistreak to do my own in powerpoint, I just need some time to sit down and work on it. But I've also made a few on my own using powerpoint and word.

and as courtney said, we usually all reply so fast because we're at work and on this forum instead of working, hahaha!

I've made about 12 so far and have a bunch more that I could do, but I'm trying to keep my monogram addiction in check.

I have the instructions on my website and there's about 5-6 ladies on here who have downloaded the instructions. There's a few templates I have in the instructions where you can use the design and just change the name/date/location info, just to get started. Then the actual instructions tell you where to find some clipart images and how to download them to powerpoint, and from there, with some simple adjustments, you can have a monogram. Very simple, very straight-forward. I'm actually a technical trainer as a profession, so the instructions are very easy and come with screen shots showing you exactly what you'll see/do with each step.

Let me know if you want access to the site and I'll email you the password...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
