Oh wow, I didn't know about that! Much more affordable than the private beach party, although my heart is still set on that...this changes things! Ha ha, just what I need - more options! LOL Does anyone know if there is a 40 guest maximum for the semi private dinner there?

As far as Patricia told me there is no minimum or maximum amount required for the semi-private dinner :o)

Sasse, I think that's what we're going to do too!!! I'm excited, because at least we'll still get a dinner outside with beautiful scenery rather than in the restaurant, and not have to shell out another $4000 for the beach reception!!! YAY!!! It does look awesome, and then if you want to personalize it a little bit with some decorations it will be a lot easier than decorating restaurant tables.
Then I think we'll just hit the courtyard bar and then the disco/club! FI just made fun of me cause I always call it the disco...but that's what the resort calls it!!! I thought it was cute! lol

Hey ladies! Just a heads up from a GRP bride... the Thai restaraunt IS beautiful and very romantic, but its not all that condusive to having a lot of people together. The best way to explain it is that is is sectioned off into platforms that hold maybe 4 tables. The sections are divided by a waist high wooden fence. Lol, that's not a great description, but hopefully you get my meaning. Unfortunately, I have no pictures, but if you are considering this an option, I would definitely request some photos from the wedding coordinator. Ask for pics of previous events held there, just to see what the set up is like. I just can't imagine how they would do it without splitting up your group...

Just wired my deposit to hold our wedding date yesterday, yay! What are the next steps? How soon do I have to let Patricia know what wedding package we want, reception, flowers, cake, etc? And what is the time frame like for getting final number of guests to her?

Hi Annie.....Thx for the heads up on this. Would you say that for a group of 35 that this might not work?

Phew.....so I checked with Patricia and she said that they will only divide into the huts (as she called them) if the weather is bad, otherwise they are woutside. Since April has the least rainfall of any month in the Mayan...should be all good :)

How was your wedding at the Grand Riviera Princess? My fiance & I are getting married there 11/9/10. Can you give me any advice or tips about the place. I would really like some feedback from someone who has gotten married there recently. Thanks
