Hi Sunseeker

I just signed my contract yesterday. We are getting married on November
18th and reserved the date back in February. As I mentioned in another post, I was going to see if I could get the Roytaly Package. We did get it.
We are having the dinner included with the Royalty Package on the Monday night as a Welcome/Rehersal Dinner. Then we booked the Private Beach Party, but they still honoured the original price we were quoted in February of $80.00 per person and with the DJ and everything included.

I would try talking to Sandra. She has been the best to deal with yet.

Thanks for this tip - I did not know I could also have the dinner that was included in the package if I chose the gala or beach dinner.

I will definetely try and get the dinner included as either welcome or good-bye dinner. smile29.gif

Sandra is also my WC and she is great! I would recommend her.

My sister was organizing her wedding there for last May (she had to change to Cuba last minute because of the flue) and her WC was not nearly as helpful. thewave.gif

Hi Brides at the Grand Riviera Princess

I am brand new to this site and am trying to book a wedding at the Grand Riviera Princess for Sept 2010. I don't know where to start (we haven't booked the trip yet cause I wanted to first get prices on weddings and availability.

Our travel agent does not get involved in the wedding portion of the trip for some reason. So, I was wondering the best way to go about getting price lists for wedding packages and options.

If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. I have looked on the different thread and can't seem to find the starting info. Do I email the wedding coordinator at the resort first? I just don't know where to start, so that's where I need some assistance please.

Thank you so much and I have enjoyed reading about everyone experiences so far.

I have 2010 pricing that I can send you if you pm me with your email address! However I would get in touch with resort directly so that you can connect with a coordinator. As well there is a ton of info right on their website which is a great starting point

Honestly Pelican10... I might think about switching travel agents if I were you. Getting in contact with the resorts is very difficult but the travel agents seem to be able to do a lot more. I think it'll save you a lot of time, money, ant patience if you do. Just a thought.

Pelican 10, check with your TA as some will only book your trips, but some, for an extra fee, will book the travel and deal with the resorts. We are using Marsha Steeves out of Vancouver and she has been really helpful. We just tell here what we want, and she deals with the people in Mexico. Everything will be all set up when we get there

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
