NOTE: I am looking to share an external photographer!! I am getting married on November 11th, 2009. Is anyone willing to share the cost of binging someone in? I am open to suggestions, and also have options for those who haven't chosen a photog yet! Just trying to be budget friendly! wink.gif
Hey Ann we are getting married on Nov 9th and have all of our family coming in from Edmonton also. We will also be the rowdy bunch doing tequila bang bangs at 8am lol. As for a photogragher that is still one thing we have not arranged yet. But we would definetely be willing to try and arrange to hire someone jointly if we could find a reasonable price and someone who has good work. Let me know if you find anyone or know of anyone and we can work from there also my email address is rocknessmon69@hotmail.com if you want to email me directly. thanks Natasha

Did any of you Canadian Brides see the resort featured on "Rich Bride, Poor Bride" on Saturday? After seeing it I am in love. I have a meeting with my TA tomorrow night, can't wait to see what additional information she brings.

Hi Ladies, I know there are several of us on here that are going to be at this resort in November. I started a thread to get a list of everyone who's going to be there and the dates in November so we can meet up with each other. If you haven't already listed your date check out the link and add your names to the list.

I'm so disappointed right now, I just heard from my TA that the week we've planned our wedding the resort's junior suites are completely booked up! Only four people have booked so far, and we only put down deposits on ten rooms. I know there are quite a few people who had planned on coming that already were thinking that they couldn't afford to come...Now I'm worried that they won't come. Does anyone know how much the next room up is from the junior suites approximately? I know from each place it will be different..hopefully its not too much more! Our TA is just waiting on prices sad.gif

I'm not sure about the price differences between rooms but I just have a suggestion. Did you check with the resort to find out that they are actually sold out in that room category or did you get that information from your travel agent? Our travel agent books with Funjet Vacations and we were having trouble booking another room because the rates seemed to have jumped up. Well upon further search we found that Funjet had sold out of their rooms in the lowest category. So our travel agent had to call the resort to have them release more rooms to Funjet and then we were able to book the other room we needed to. Just a suggestion that might help you out.

I actually have run into the same problem. Not only did the room rates go up, but so did airfare. Apparently the swine flu had prices really nice and low... and now they are high again and they are sold out of the Junior Suites and only have Junior Deluxe Suites (we aren't using FunJet).

What a bummer.

Trish did you guys or Tammy(host) check directly with the resort to find out they were sold out of the Junior Suites? I found then still available on the Princess website last week and then my travel agent was able to get them to release another room for us. It's all so weird. I just checked their website again, Hotels Princess & Resorts (Official Website), Spain, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Promotions, Meetings, Conventions, online reservation and for our dates they did still have the junior suite available.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
