And, how cool that you get money for your bridal shower in mexico- maybe I should tell my guests that's what I want instead of a bunch of miscellaneous kitchen gadgets that I'll never use! lol

I wish I could have made my bridal shower invites, but alas, my FMIL wouldn't hear of it- she said I'm doing too much already so my shower is officially hands-off!

Anyway, girl- you rock! Those are the coolest shower invitations I've ever seen...maybe the best invitations in general!
Yeah I love embossing but it takes too much time!!! I wish I had an embossing machine or something to do it fast hahahaha it's a PITA but you're right, totally worth it!

This is my shower hosted by my mom so I decided to help her with the invitations but I'm still struggling to "help" my friends with the shower they're having for me 'cause the one that chose to make the invites always comes up with something funky and they're all scared hahahahaha they're having a luau party for me and she wants to do a drawing of a hula girl and put my face.. sounds good but I don't know how's it gonna look hahahahaha

thanx a lot for the comments Sarah! and everyone else! I hope everyone likes them as much as you did!!

and Sarah you're still the official BDW Martha Stewart!!!

I bought the sheets at hobby lobby and I printed everything on the HP laser printer smile159.gif the envelopes design is a sheet I bought but the vellum paper is the same design and I just scanned it and printed on vellum on my color laser printer (well it's not mine, it's work's printer hahahah)

I am in absolute awe of these invites. There are no words. I mean this as no offense to any of the other DIY girls but these are possibly the most amazing DIY invites I have ever seen. They are so colorful and beautiful but most importantly they are a true reflection of your personality. I just absolutely love them. I cannot even imagine how you made these. You, Sarah, Ann and all the other DIY girls are just amazing. I have no idea how you do the things you do, it's just crazy. You DIY girls should really go into business together and make some moola for poor schmucks like me who can't even draw stick figures. Anny I really, really love these.

Amy did you select the kind of paper you were printing on? you have to do it on the printer settings.. otherwise the ink comes off sometimes..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
