I apologize for the long post previously. I found a place that sells a wholesale bulk of 24 stainless steel mugs and a shop on esty that has cute waterproof/dishwasher proof custom stickers. We are going to do this instead of the crazy ordering of 50 mugs. 24 personalized  stainless steel mugs for $92!                thewave.gif

The best deal is ordering 50 mugs, but I only need 25 at the most. If another bride would like 25 the cost would be  $103.00 / 25 mugs = $4.12 per mug

1) Includes shipping of $20 to your house from my house in Minneapolis, MN (shiping to my house is $20 from factory which I would pay)

2) The cost of the mugs is $83 for 25 of them.

3) This cost only includes one print color. (black?, green?)

Depending on your wedding date, if it's in April like mine, we could add April 2012. Otherwise the mugs could be custom but less detailed. I'm open to suggestions if someone is serious about doing this. Here are some ideas:

"Playa Mujeres, Mexico", "Excellence Playa Mujeres 2012" or more specifically "Mexico, April 2012" or we could add a little poem like "Feet in the Sand, Drink in your Hand - Mexico 2012"???

Obviously there are other details that we can talk about over the phone or through email. Pleae DM me if you want to do this and are serious about starting the order process.

Otherwise I'll just order 50 and make them very customized with our names and date on them :) ....and have coffee/ tea mugs for the rest of our lives. ha.

What a great deal. Sounds way better then ordering 50 & dealing with the hassle of having left overs. Hopefully my budget allows for these...

Brennas - thanks for the heads up. After reading that I remembered we had the same problem but luckily had one on our key chain. Definitely going to add them to the bags! Now I know what I will be doing today at work...looking for cute bottle openers lol!

Kurrweddy - Congratulations!! Cant wait to read your review & possibly see some pics!

There were none in the room and when we asked for one.. it was never delivered. We had to walk our drinks to the closest bar to have them opened. I didn't want to frustrate the guest with that, so we decided to add those along with Mexico themed playing cards. :)

Only a few more months now! We are getting really excited. I am ready for it! We are going with the symbolic ceremony and are having our close friend perform the ceremony.

Congrats to all the new brides out there!

Surely Gustavo and Ileana were transitioning with someone. I know that I spoke with Daniela at one point when Ileana was out of the office. Do we know who the new people are yet?

Thank you for the bottle opener tip! We will be adding these to our bags. Love little details like this that may help the guests in the long run!

Hi Ladies! I have been MIA from the boards for the last little bit. Life has been very busy and crazy for the last few months! I have been following the board and just been catching up on the posts. We are also getting married on April 17, 2012 and I can't tell you how frustrated and dissapointed I am to here that Ileana is no longer with the resort. Originally I started planning with Yamina, then Ileana, then Gustavo, then back with Ileana. Now to find out she is gone is so frustrating!!! Mostly because we already had arranged for some things and made special arrangments and everytime I start working with someone new I have to reconfirm everything! To be honest if the deals and arrangments that I had with the others are not honoured with the new coordinator (I have emails to prove everything) I will be very upset and have a big problem with the resort. The other problem is that with only two months to go I need to start getting some answers to my questions, and it seems like now I never can get those answers! Plus it worries me that what if the new coordinators or managers quit before the wedding or take over and are so overwhelmed that our weddings suffer. It is just a lot of added stress now to a process I already find very stressful and frustrating!

What would have been nice is for the resort to send the brides/grooms out emails letting us know what is going on and provide us with the new contact email for our new contact at the resort insteading of just not hearing back from anyone and then finding out it is because they no longer work there at the resort from this board! That would have eased my mind a bit but I guess that is asking for to much!

When we went to visit the resort we thought there wasn't a bottle opener in the room. It took us a day or two to realize that it is near the sink in the bathroom attached to the wall. I've never seen an opener like that but wanted to let everyone know since it is so easy to miss.

    • Hi everyone! My name is Erin and I am a covid bride. My dream was to have a destination wedding. I wanted it easy, breezy and relaxed, with a whole weekend to celebrate with family and friends. I found the perfect venue, Key Largo Lighthouse Beach! (See http://www.keylargolighthouse.com ). The reviews are amazing, and my experience with the venue has been nothing but great, I have emails to prove it! My wedding was going to be four days of pure bliss, on a private beach with amazing beach houses for my bridal party to stay in (the houses can hold 25 people comfortably!) They even gave us a hugeeee discount because of covid! We planned the whole thing, including catering, desserts, an open bar, dj and photographer. But then covid hit. After moving our date back 3 times, expending our engagement far longer than we wanted, we decided enough was enough. We decided to do a small, local ceremony and reception on August 1st, and we are now married! It wasn’t my dream wedding, but it ended up being perfect, even though it was planned in two weeks! But now we’ve paid for two weddings, and we don’t feel like we need another reception. We want that money to pay off student loans, or put a down payment on a house! Or even for our future child’s college fund. However, we cannot get our money back from the venue, per the contract. Finally to the point of my post, the only way we can get a refund is by finding someone to take our place. No one would pay us directly, it would be the normal way for whoever takes over, you’d pay the venue. You’d also get our discount so you’d save money. If anyone knows someone who wants an amazing destination/beach wedding in 2021, please let me know! I’ll give you more details directly.
    • I hope you have chosen choosen 3d dress too, it looks the best. When my friend was having a Bachelorette Party and we had to find nice looks for the night, it was like a nightmare. Because 4 girls like 4 different styles and it was hard to find the best one. There are a lot of great articles on this topic you can find on the web https://storyofthebride.com/2020/bachelorette-party-looks-that-will-define-the-night/ . But still we had decided on our brain storm that black and white outfits would have the best looking. It was the only one look that everyone shared. So we had not too many options.
    • Vaughan is a city in Ontario, Canada, where my sister got married last February, before the pandemic. This wasn’t a pre-planned wedding. Since her husband hails from there, Vaughan was chosen as the destination for their wedding. It was a great decision they had made because that helped us create memories that I will cherish forever in my life. The attitude and the approach of the locals are so warm that I felt like I was in my hometown. An outdoor event venue was chosen because the climate was exceptional, decorated with lights and flowers. We couldn’t stop ourselves from clicking photographs, and everything was arranged perfectly, making the event all hassle-free. The reception ceremony was neatly done with mouthwatering food preparations. It was fun to have a wedding there and it was an event well organized. If any of you are looking for a destination wedding in Canada, Vaughan is a prudent choice. I have heard Montreal is nice but this was a great experience. Now it’s not the right time folks. Stay safe at your places. Let this pass and then we shall think about such events.
    • Hey! That's an interesting thought. It's important to wear masks though the pandemic wave is being contained in many parts of the world. Keep safe.
