That's really great, congratulations!

What cake option did you choose and how was it?!  Also, what venue did you have your reception at (I am wondering, because I am choosing the restaurant location and decorations now)?

Thanks!

If you have any pictures, please send them over to anyakroupnik@gmail.com.  For some reason on this site I can view pictures, but I am unable to download any of them!

Supersonic,

I just saw some other shots on the del sol website that were taken at the villa next door.  (Not sure if there were yours or not) Fantastic! Do you need to get special permission to go over there?  How long did it take?  We are having a happy hour afterwards and didn't want to take too long with pictures and leave the guests waiting...then again, it's a happy hour, how upset can they be?  :) Just curious about the details of this...

The wedding date I wanted was booked, but I was told that I could get married on Thursday before & have the reception at the Spice terrace or Event terrace.  Does anyone know what the event terrace is?  If so, does anyone have pictures of it?  Yamina said that we could not have a DJ at the Spice terrace.  Thanks!

We are doing Spanish guitar for pre-ceremony and walk down the aisle...haven't picked a song to leave with yet though!!  I was a little worried to pick anything with words or that dragged on for a long time since I don't know who will be operating the sound system, how long the walk is, etc.

I am down to just a month away!!  Finishing up details, out of town bags and working a little on the party we are having at home after we get back.

Am I just supposed to email Yamina pics of flowers and cake that are similar to what I want?  Guess I need to touch base with her!

Haha, this is kind of funny as I was leaning towards this too.  I guess this song must be to beach weddings what Cannon in D is to church weddings.  I also tried listening to a few more of Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's songs but nothing has jumped out at me.  I'd also be interested in knowing if anyone else has found something equally sweet beach-y.

I just went to a wedding this weekend and they used "Blue Sky" by the Allman Brothers.  It was at a church and still super cute!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
