Common sense would have me put it in an up-do but I just couldn't do it, so I compromised (with myself) and did it half up. It worked for me even though it was blowing all over the place. I think some of the photos look extra cool with it blowing in the wind.

Sharon99: Your day looks so beautiful!! Can't wait to see some of your Moments that Matter photos! It looks like MTM were everywhere taking awesome shots.

We were stopped with our OOT bag stuff at customs in Mexico as well. I had all of my receipts, but they did not even ask for them. Just said it was for a wedding and they let us through. They did dig through every inch of every bag which was annoying because they just push it aside and I had to figure out how to get it shut back up again.

Hi everyone,

I was so pleasantly surprised to get a response in the same day from Lleny regarding some questions I had about the rehearsal dinner. FYI - Nayeli is out this week so dont' even bother emailing her. Btw, the info on the shipping of items to the resort is super helpful thank you.

  • Has anyone had a 'private rehearsal dinner'? I am planning on doing that as I want access to their projector for photo slide shows and they said those are only available to the private dinners.
  • Another question - the dj is only allowed at CECO (inside and outside) correct? not at any of the restaurants...is that right?
  • Is anyone else getting married in late March 2013?

also, I noticed people sharing their wedding blog - here's mine: http://onthesamebranch.blogspot.com/

THANK YOU!!

I did have a private rehearsal dinner. It was held on the terrace of the French Restaurant (BEAUTIFUL!), and they closed the entire restaurant for our group. It was held there as the Fiesta (original location) was moved from the Friday that week to the Weds. as another large group was at the resort. As a result, we had the private rehearsal at no extra charge, however, I believe that there is usually a per person surcharge associated with a private event. We were able to pick a customized menu off of the same list of choices as the wedding menus. The only thing that I would note is, wherever you have your rehearsal or wedding reception, if it is outside at night....bring bugspray! We also got eaten alive both nights until the bugspray was used ;)

Hi, I got married at EPM on June 14th and we did barefoot on the beach. It's easy to slip off your shoes right before you get to the beach and put them back on for your reception afterwards. All the other brides and bridesmaids did the same otherwise you probably would have trouble walking on the sand. I had quite a heavy and long dress (totally not right for the beach but I loved it !) and it was much easier without worrying about falling over.

I'll post some of my pics up soon x

Hi ladies, I got married @ EPM on 14th June 2012 and it was amazing! We did barefoot on the beach and Llenny Gomez was brilliant and very organised, I'd never heard of a Nayeli I did all my organising through Llenny who always replied to me within 24hrs. I'll post some pictures to give you an idea - we are from England so I wanted to make the most of the tropical location so our colour theme and flowers are VERY colourful. Hope you like them.... Katie x

we were going to have a private rehersal dinner, but Alex (if you can, work with him) but he said there was a  private beach carribean night party.  there was maybe a dozen tables, and  guest to pay extra to get into the party, but we got it complimentary.   it was super nice and everyone had a blast.

This is a link to a mini slideshow that my photographer, Lori at Sweetfire Photography, formerly partners in Moments that Matter, put together for us!

We absolutely LOVED our wedding at the Excellence. We dealt with a slew of different coordinators (Yamina, Gustavo, Nayeli) during the planning stages, but Lleny was the actual coordinator who helped us down there. We too were frustrated by long response times with emails, but in the end everything turned out perfectly and without a hitch. The only hiccup was the rehearsal dinner, but that ended up turning out better than the original plan for the Fiesta.

    • Hi Everyone, So, I was cleaning out my closet and realized that I never sold off my extra wedding OOT bag stuff from our wonderful DW.   46 Daily Spanish for Dummies 30 Pool colored OOT fabric bags - approximately 13in x 13in. They lay flat.  I used them for our wedding and they were perfect for everything we needed to fit in each bag. There’s a slight shade variation in the group; I’m guessing some were cut from a different bolt of fabric.  They are also a little wrinkled from storage and will probably be wrinkled from shipping. I have three additional ones, but they somehow got something on them (likely toddler related). If needed, I can try to wash it out and send those as well.
    • I’m getting married in six months to my foreign girlfriend. I was advised by a friend that one of the things I need to do before saying I do is to get a prenuptial agreement. Basically it’s supposed to protect my assets and properties in case my relationship with my future wife goes down the drain. I don’t know though if this is an acceptable practice when marrying Kiev ladies. I don’t want to do it if it would be insulting on her end. I need advice on this. Please help me.
    • So we are currently looking for an all inclusive resort for the wedding. We have 60 guests and found all the Dreams resorts as options and all of them gave us a quote and discounted price since it’s off season etc. Resorts in Punta Canta gave us a reasonable price, Dominicus gave us a really good deal then La Romana Resort and Spa gave us their regular price and so hard to negotiate. Will someone tell us how special is this resort that they won’t give us a good discount when all my guests are staying in their resort for 5-8 days. We are bringing $$$ in their resort and not give us a discount?  What is so special with this resort?  Can somebody recommend a beautiful resort?
