Excellence Playa Mujeres Brides Post Here!

Recommended Posts

The swine flu seems to be as much of a threat here as it is in the Yucatan part of Mexico...not that this makes things better overall for us here, but at least that thinking may keep guests from cancelling :)

On another note, how do I upload a monogram from powerpoint? I tried making a few- it's actually pretty addicting- and it keeps me occupied while I'm freaking out about whether my date is open. I am using "Honeymoons Inc" an online travel agency now, so hopefully she'll have better luck.

I've even called, but they usually hang up afet I meekly ask "Does anyone speak English?" I want to book before the 35% off April special goes out...

I would still go to Playa Mujeres if I was in your situation. The media is blowing this thing WAY out of proportion. However, if you really want guests to attend that have cancelled due to the flu, maybe you could change to Excellence Punta Canahuh.gif

I don't understand why everyone is making such a fuss over this...it's the freakin' FLU! It's all a product of the media. I really wish they would stop dramatizing this issue and run more factual and common sense stories.

Your FI mother needs to understand - the flu is here - you have just as much a chance of catching it in the US as you do in Mexico so why not just go?

How is your FI feeling about this?

I'm really sorry that the people you expect to support you and your FI are too scared to go. I have actually been asked if I had a plan B and im not getting married for another 2 months. Its one of the most annoying questions, and does nothing but piss me off because I feel like others are asking with the mentality that (im helping her think) but all it really does is stress you out more. I have also told people to do what they have to do I'm getting married on July 15, 2009 in Mexico come hell or high water. If they dont like it say home. Its about you and Durante, you have to keep remembering that. If your afraid for the safety of yourself consider using travel insurance which I hope you got. Don't allow others to steal your joy as hard as that maybe. Its not about them and keep reminding yourself of that.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
