If so how was the lighting there?

Wow - $25 a lantern! That's insane. I bought 20 for $100 on ebay so check them out too. I did have my reception at Cecco (be sure to request the inside as well...makes a difference) Inside Cecco it's bright, normal lighting but outside (the pink lighting you saw was the DJ...I requested that) The dance floor is extra and not cheap either and so were the cold fireworks. Even the drapery over the dance floor was extra and the Tiffany chairs (but all worth it, I think)

Hi sho0ochz, I love ur pics and ur hair!! Do u know the name of the guy that did it? He did a great job!!

LL Here are a few photos! We used the inhouse photographer and he was AMAZING! I can't remember his name, but he called himself Brad Pitt, haha. We had our ceremony at the gazebo and the cocktail/reception at the spice terrace. Also, the guy who did my hair and make-up, GENIUS! I can't not tell you enough what a true artist he was, and I am one PICKY bride!! One piece of advise, it is hot!! we got married at 5:00pm, and went directly to the beach for pictures. I would have done anything for a bottle of water, make sure someone has one for you!  We also changed into comfy clothes because of the heat after pictures! and we def. needed bug spray! We didn't have any with us, but just ask and they will bring you some :) * LL LL LL LL LL

Did they charge your extra to set up your own decoration? or was it included? Did you have music during your ceremony?

Hi guys! Love that I found this blog! I have recently requested April 25, 2014 as a wedding date at Excellence Playa Mujeres and am currently waiting for a reply from Lleny. I'm so excited to get started on the planning process but am hoping to make is as stress-free as possible (if that's even a possibility)! :) Lynn

Hi Ladies!

Reading your posts have been so helpful and informative!

I am getting married at EPM on 5/16/14! I am so excited! Does anyone have Lleny's email. My travel coordinator provided me with Nayeli's email, but I see here that Lleny is the one to work with! I'm sure I will be posting lots of questions here, and I appreciate all the feedback!

We have been booked for the 1pm ceremony, but I am desperately trying to move it to a later time, perhaps 4pm.

I look forward to chatting with you ladies!!

Hi all - can any past brides shed any light on getting ready at the spa the day of?  My 6 bridesmaids, my mom and FI's mom are getting our hair done between noon and 3:30, and I was thinking we would just hang around there with snacks and drinks during the day while everyone was getting done.  The woman I spoke with at the spa said it may be too small for that?

What did you all do?  Anyone have a similar size group and did you hang in the spa or your own room?  Appreciate the insight!  Wedding is 2 weeks from today, and I am still unsure of so many things!!  :)

Thanks! Alexis

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
