Recommended Posts

Hey Monica, I have only one month to my week in paradise, Have a few questions...Did you have your hair and make up done at the excellence salon and what photographer did you use...thanks a bunch
Hey! My cousin did my hair and makeup and a friend did our pics. The salon did all of my bridesmaids hair and did a great job! Some got their makeup done too and they were very happy w the results.

We have 53 people in our group so we are paying for the private dinner for the reception. But we didn't want to pay for an additional private dinner, so she's putting tables together for 30 of us for the Rehearsal Dinner (which we won't have to pay extra for).

Hey Dana!  May I ask who your coordinator is and where she is reserving tables for rehearsal dinner?  Thanks!!

Hi....I am new to this site and still trying to figure things out...without making a mess : )

Here's a question for anyone. I am going with the "Silver" package...and the have already figured out the menu. I also know they serve desert with the meal as well. So, if my wedding party & guests are going to be most likely under 15 people....is it wrong to go with a two tier wedding cake? Does anyone think...that I would be over doing it? I have asked ...if there were left overs could we give some to guests and bring some back to room and was told no....the ants are hungry?  hmmmm

Second Question.....what type of cake and flavors and designs did you have or will have. Any regrets ?

Thanks again for your time...and love this site...I have read every page....

Congrats to all planning their Big Day : )

Hello,

I am getting married in Secrets Maroma Resort, on July 27,2013.

However I had a question? Can anyone tell me the time frame your planner contacted you to start planning the wedding. Im about 2 months away and starting to get worried that they haven't contacted me. I already emailed her but no response.

Hi there!!! Congrats to you too! We went with a really simple cake for 30 ppl.. and we went with the one thats included in the gold package. We have 40 ppl coming, so it may not feed everyone, but I figured that with desert, not everyone would be eating it anyway... so we downsized ;) As for the kind of cake, we went simple- vanilla cake with strawberry filling and buttercream icing. Hopw this helps you make a decision!!!! OMG I CANT WAIT!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
