Here is the email for the spa.

They can set up all your appts and answer any questions you have. I had a gentleman (his name escapes me!) who did a FANTASTIC job with my hair and makeup. I had done a trial here in the US to figure out what I wanted and took photos of it and he was able to replicate exactly what I wanted, and frankly it was more beautiful than the stylist here! EPM has so many weddings that the spa staff are constantly doing up-dos and make-up.

YES! We leave for Mexico on April 27 (3 weeks!!!) My bridal shower is tomorrow and bachelorette party is next weekend...such an exciting time!

Anyway, I have emailed the spa and made appointments but I have also Skyped them and talked to them directly. Email is great but I'm old fashioned and like personal interaction. :-)

Rebecca and Dana, do you have any advice for what time to make your spa reservation for the wedding day?  Like how long did it take to do hair & makeup? and did they give any advice for the dividing up the bridal party?

Also what did you wear, a robe? I wasn't sure if it would be appropriate to wear a robe to/from the spa, since you'd have to walk outdoors to get there.

Thanks!!!

My planner told me if I didn't find what I wanted in the catalogs that they have they use a company called planer 1 who does any type of flower arrangement and tons of different types of decorations.

How far in advance should hair and make up appointments me made?

Can anybody give me a quick low-down on the process of getting your wedding booked? The coordinator that I emailed told me that they can only book and confirm the wedding 30 days in advance but, that just doesn't seem right to me. I am planning on getting married 12-13-14, that is going to be a very popular date so I want to be 100% that it is confirmed before I put my deposit down on the room. Other than that, I would just like to know the process that other people have done. Did you book the room first? Do you wait for them to book the room for you? Being so far away from the resort it makes me nervous to do everything online undecided.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
