Is the spice terrace and ceco terrace different?
Yes they are. Spice Terrace is the terrace outside of the restaurant, Spice. CECO Terrace is a private, secluded event space. If you PM your email address, I can send you pictures of both.

Thanks! I found the pics after I posted it. I'm hoping to get the ceco terrace, but we can't reserve it until a month before. :(

Thank you so much for the response! I finally got my response back confirming the date as she had it 'on hold' and i wasn't sure what that meant. But I will excercise patience. So hard because I have so many questions but this website has been a life savor. Can't wait to see your pics from your wedding...where are you having your reception?

Best of luck - so exciting!! Kim

Thank you so much - this was very helpful. This website is my saving grace since so much is out of our hands and I'm a control freak 'mildly' :) But I have to assume that they know what they're doing and this will all work out okay. Thank you again for responding!

congrats on ur upcoming wedding.  we did have a rehersal dinner,  they had a carribean themed night on the beach. which was reservation only.  it was really cool, they only had maybe a dozen tables, buffet, bar, and a band.  you can also do it normally in any restaurant that you want.

we have all had troubles getting hold of nayeli.  when we were supposed  to meet with her, she sent alex another coordinator and he was awesome to work with and soo nice.  see if you can get a hold of him.

let me know if you

We're having ours at CECO Terrace...we're expecting about 60 people and my group can get a bit rowdy so we wanted something a little more private so as not to disturb as many people. LOL

Hi Sheryl,

Thank you so much for the info! I'm less than 7 weeks away now!

Quick question for all the brides..have any of you used the outside vendor Dj Doremixx? They have been great to work with so far.  Even after paying the resort vendor fee, the DJ is significantly less expensive than the in-house DJ.  Let me know if anyone has any experience working with them.  Thanks!

They use MAC

Thanks K

Thanks K! I guess I don't need to bring my own, maybe just the lipstick. I'll stop by MAC and see what kind of stuff they have. Maybe do a trial run here first and take a picture.

And I was just wondering do any of you have a picture of Avant and Bamboo chairs?

My understanding is you get simple chairs with white covering included with the wedding. And then there are 3 others that are at extra cost.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
