Question - do any of you guys know how much the hair and makeup is? They told me the trial is $102 & that's with the 15% off discount. They didn't say how much it will be on the wedding day or how much it will be for my girls. (maybe the same?) I was looking at the price list and have no idea where the $102 came from. Has anyone inquired about the prices for the hair & makeup services yet? What did they say it cost?

Great thanks!

We are having 4 tables. I bought everything from Etsy - sandwriting table numbers, starfish holder to put the numbers in and starfish place settings with everyone's name. If you want to see pics let me know. I could't decide what to do then one day last week just ordered it all to check it off the list! What are you thinking?

Hello! To answer your question on flowers, most likely the vases are rented so be careful :) If you or your guests take the vases and aren't allowed to, they will charge you for them, or they will track you down the next day which is the least pleasant way to spend your first day as husband and wife! I recommend announcing at the reception that your guests can take the flowers, but to please leave the vases on the tables. Or you can play a cute "give-away" game to see who gets to keep the centerpieces, and mention it at that point so it doesn't seem too obvious :) But the flowers themselves you can definitely keep and put in your rooms!

Speaking of centerpieces, don't forget as well that you'll have hand-helds (bouquets) that can be used throughout the reception as added decor! Most of the time the bride and bridesmaids put their bouquets down on their table or misplace them, but these are beautiful items you should incorporate into the rest of your decor! You can rent vases from the florist most of the time and use the bouquets for head table or sweetheart table decor, or you can have them lain on the cake table for an extra element of decor :) Either way, don't forget to use them!

Thank you for the information! I am thinking we will base our flower decisions on staying away from the vases and getting things that are perhaps stuck into Styrofoam or something that we will not have to worry about returning.

I would love to see pics! I emailed N to see what options we have for a U shaped table. Since we'd only have 3 tables I thought it'd be nice to have everyone sitting together instead of separate tables. I wrote her on Thurs, still waiting to hear back :/

Hello!

I found purses at a boutique in the city (city of Pittsburgh) but I think that any clutch will work from almost anywhere! Right now I am having a hard time finding the right flowers to clip to the clutches.

I did finalize my meal plan... After reading all of the posts on this forum I am starting to feel like a "less than" bride right now :( I just stuck to the simple Gold Package meal plan, the only thing I changed was the salad, I asked for a Caprese for everyone since its our favorite salad.  I also am just getting 2 of the Excellence centerpieces (just paying the difference from the Gold centerpieces) and having them spread on our long rectangler table. I feel as though maybe I have been too laid back in all of this because all you girls have these crazy amazing ideas and changes and plans etc...

Maybe I am a bad bride.... :( Oops!

Well since I am leaving next Wednesday I think it may be too late for me to make a bunch of changes now!

ON ANOTHER NOTE... I emailed N all of our final details TWO AND A HALF WEEKS AGO and have still not heard ANYTHING back from her!!! Its getting ridiculous at this point. I am just having the extreme faith that everything is just going to fall together and will work out (My Goodness Fingers Crossed!).

I could scream in both excitement and stress right now!!

Did you finalize your meal plan? What did you pick? I'm so curious for good ideas. Are you taking any decorations down with you?

Do you have any unanswered qustions or have they been good to get everything finalized for you before you go?

All of a sudden I have a ton of questions.

So Exciting!!!

Iciz - you are not a bad bride at all! I am not doing anything special either. I actually down-graded to the silver package since I don't care about their photography. The $600 for the mariachi band is the only thing I wanted from the gold and the difference is still cheaper. I am choosing basic centerpieces & basic flowers. I just went with the silver menu & called it a day! At this point, I dont care about anything! I am pretty much ready to get there & realized all this other crap means nothing. We will be in paradise, the rest I am so over with! lol The only thing I really did was get chair sashes, place cards & table numbers. Other than that I am going with the basics...

Don't worry I am sure your wedding is going to be amazing! I am sure they have everything checked off & are on top of it. I hope you hear from them soon!

stefkva - here are the pics from Etsy site...I didn't get to take mine yet. Sorry they are so big  I love the idea of a U shaped table. I could not get my FI on board with it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
