My FI is wearing this Linen suit http://www.menswearhouse.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search_-1_10601_10051___?searchType=search&categoryId=29155&searchTerm=calvin+klein+linen+suit  Linen does wrinkle, but it's overall a much lighter material & you can get it pressed at EPM, He's gonna wear a blue button down with it. We also found this site, using it for our groomsmen & my dad's shirts, but its inexpensive & well made. http://www.cubavera.com/. You can see some of their stuff in person at Macy's. We're using Dockers soft Kahki's for the wedding party, they have a ton a variety in colors & again really inexpensive.

Good luck!

I would NOT do linen pants! They will be so wrinkled.. My fiance just got a lightweight tan suit from Von Maur which is a high end department store where I live. .. he loves it, its dressy, lightweight and wrinkle free! :) Try Macy or Mens Wearhouse! Good luck!!!

I think my Fiance will also do a lightweight tan colour suit so it does not wrinkle.

I have a question about decor. I got the price list from EPM for all decor. It is all very beautiful and we will be ordering some things but I was hoping to save a bit of money and bring some decor myself (like candles). Will the wedding coordinator put out the decor your bring as well for a small fee?

Hey guys!!!

Well I did finally hear from Ilena and I feel much much better about the wedding now! She answered all of my questions and it looks like most of the things Yamina told me were included still are. There are chairs, linens and flowers are included just make sure you ask her questions to clarify. At first none of the flowers I wanted were going to be "included" in my package thus I would have to pay for them. After emailing with her for a while we finally agreed on modifying them a bit so that they would count as my "natural centerpeice" that is included in my package.

So yeesh almost everything is planned now which is a huge relief because I only have 2 weeks left! Do any previous bride have recommendations for cake flavors? I'm thinking of going with vanilla filled with chocolate mouse but vanilla filled with strawberry's also sounds great! I also heard from a previous bride, that if there is left over cake you can ask them to save it in the kitchen for you and then for the rest of your stay you can request a piece of your wedding cake through room service.  How great is that?!?!

Hi Ladies...

My husband wore a tan colored suit with a white linen shirt untucked underneath.  He bought both at Macys.  He had some trouble because he did not like the khaki suits he was finding and didn't want a linen suit.  He almost went with a seersucker suit from Brooks Brothers, but then decided on the tan suit.  We went with the gold package and preparation of my dress and his suit were included (pressing, etc.)-- they did a great job.  I am not sure if it is includeed in all wedding packages at EPM.

I don't plan on posting pictures on this site, but if anyone would like to see them send me your email address and I will send them to you on Kodak Gallery.

Hi Everyone!  Just wanted to drop in and introduce myself...my name is Lisa and I am hoping to have my wedding at EPM in May/June 2012 if there are still spots left (hopefully).  I am trying to narrow down a date, but in the meantime...does anyone know of any travel agents that specialize in Excellence "brand" weddings???  I know there are a lot of Dreams certified TAs and I didn't know if Excellence had a similar thing.

Best wishes to all of you in your planning!!!

Thanks to all  those who gave me tips about TAs for EPM...as of yesterday had to switch to a family friendly resort.  FH and I both have pregnant sisters that will have newborns come the time of the wedding!  If anyone has tips on a smaller all inclusive that allows kids, please send them my way.  The goal is to have the resort allow kids, but not have hoards of children that will spoil the atmosphere :)

Thanks again for everyones assistance...you gals are great!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
