SparkleSun, last time I was there (July 2008) the mosquitos came in off of the water in what i would call a swarm at night. Any issues with those nasty little bugs? I'm packing my OOTs full of bug repellent wipes just in case!

That really is awesome that they provided the bug spray! Trust me, when the skeeters come out here, it's NO joke. One of the nights that we were there they had a caribbean dinner on the beach as an option or special event (they have these sort of things nightly if I remember correctly) and just after they opened up the hot plates so that people could serve themselves, the bugs came in off the water, enough of them to send the guests not running, but definitely walking rapidly towards cover wacko.gif

Advice: don't forget the bug spray, just in case!

 

What kind of entertainment or special events did they have during your stay??

Hello-  I am getting married at Excellence in three weeks.  I am looking to hire a guitar soloist now after realizing the sound system is all that is included for the ceremony (and after reading your review : ) )-- I am purchasing the gold package as well and look forward to the marriachi band for the cocktail hour- I have a question about Javier Rojas...did you have all of your songs picked out before contacting him or did he give you samples of what he can play?  I'm not sure where to start...

Hi Tish!

I’m getting married @5:00 P.M. on the beach! Yes, I haven’t worked out any of the details with Yamina yet, everything that I’ve read about her is positive though! She is just so busy! I have faith that she will get us all fixed up! I’m not as stressed because I’m only having a few people attend! So it makes it simple!

What time are you getting married?  How big is your attending party?  I'm excited that another bride is on here and getting married the same day I am!! YaY!!!

I emailed him and he sent me the list of songs he could play.  I asked him for a specific song which he said he would learn, but in the end I ended up using one of his originals which I heard on his website and fell in love with.  My husband still plays that song once a day and gives me that *look* across the room haha.  I may have the list somewhere in my email, but it's probably best to just contact him.  jjrojas@prodigy.net.mx

I think they are on a continuous loop.  I know that Thursday is the Michael Jackson show which is often referred to as the best show.  Friday is the Mexican party which is where I held my rehearsal dinner so I of course have pics if anyone wants them.  Tuesday is Casino night/Magic Show, Wednesday is Manager night/Circus Show, Sunday is Live music and Las Vegas Show, Saturday is Romantic Dancing Soiree with a carribbean band, and I can't find the sheet from Monday.  I guess being anal and keeping everything is starting to pay off lol.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
