Awesome!! Who are you using from Del Sol? I was going back and forth between Matt and Sol, and at one point was just about to chalk up the extra cash to have both of them. smile36.gif

 

But I decided just to go with Sol and the additional photographer. I can't wait!! I know they'll make my photo's beautiful!!!

I've got a random question for other brides getting married at EPM the weekend of 5/20/2011. Have any of you had to relinquish extra rooms in your room block early because of a group of 200 staying at the resort that weekend?

 

I'm still having issues with my travel agent, and I am starting to doubt many of the things she told me. Back on December 21, she told us she had received a letter from the hotel asking us to give up any extra rooms within 48 hours because they had a group of 200 arriving on 5/20/2011. I tried to verify this with the hotel but they told me they have several people working in the group department so it would be hard to give me an answer.

 

According to our contract, we had until this week to give up any extra rooms.

Hi everyone!

 

Just wanted to let everyone know that our wedding was AMAZING!!!  We were married on January 29th on the beach at Excellence Playa Mujeres and it was absolutely fabulous!  We had 55 people total and everyone said it was the best wedding they had ever been to.  

 

Yamina is great and is there to help you with everything from the minute you arrive at the resort.

 

I was a little worried about the wind and having the ceremony on the beach, but it worked out great and I wouldn't have changed a thing.  We had our reception on the Event Terrace, and despite being a little chilly for the beginning of the dinner, it was beautiful and everyone was sweating on the dance floor after the music started. 

 

Anyways- I have a lot to catch up on now that we are back and will post a larger review later, but if you have any questions at all, please email me!  I am happy to help- it was such a great wedding and you will all have a beautiful wedding at this resort!!

Congratulations!! Glad everything was amazing for you guys! I am planning on having my ceremony on the beach as well & the wind was a big concern for me too. Do you have any pics of the Event Terrace? That is the only place I have not seen. Can't wait to read your review of your special day!
