Kids are def. not allowed.  I asked about the same thing because I have a 15month old that I really wanted to take part in the ceremony and they said absolutely no way even if he was only there for an hour.  Bummer...

Houston- I would email Yamina and see what shows they are doing now.  I just heard about the Michael Jackson show from Trip Advison and she confirmed that yes it was on my wedding day.  So excited!  I think they also do a casino night.  That would be cool too!

I am doing the gazebo and it is quite a long aisle to go down and I would also assume when you do a beach wedding you are at the far end of the property to so you can have privacy.

Hey,

Havent been on in a while was trying to finalize my wedding plans.

We are confirmed for August 12, 2011 finally after waiting on travel agents and the hotel.

Now I feel like I can breathe...I have to say Yamina has been great, she responds to emails within a day or two.

I can confirm all parts of the wedding flowers, photos, menu etc. except for the venues, which she is telling me I can confirm only a month prior to the wedding. This makes us feel a little uneasy but we are trusting that any restaurant or location we choose for our cocktail hour and private dinner reception will be excellent. Anyone else feeling the same???

I am hearing all positive things girls about this resort, 2 people I know recently went there and raved about it.

We are going with the gold package, but we do not know how many guests to expect, we are hoping for 20 to 30.

Anyone else hear about the services of the hotel photographer and videographer?  Yamina sent me links to their websites.

Happy Planning!

Lisa

Hi all,

We're playing our wedding for a Monday in May 2011 and Yamina gave us the choices of the Lobster House, Barcelona Terrace, and the Event Terrace for our reception. I'm leaning towards the Event Terrace so we'll have more privacy, but it's hard to tell the configuration of the spaces from the photos she sent me. Has anyone had their reception on either the Barcelona Terrace or Event Terrace? We're expecting about 60 guests so I want to make sure we have room for everyone and space for a dance floor. Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
