Hi Ladies! Has anyone put together a welcome/guest book for when the guests arrive at the resort?

thope- I don't know what I'm putting in my guest bag yet- but I will be sure to post when I do! I did NOT want to do towels either. I bought them from target and only 16 took up a lot of space and were super heavy. They weren't that great of a quality and I decided it wasn't worth it. I want to put a welcome/guest book in each bag, but I haven't really gotten anything else. There is a thread on here about what people liked/used and didn't- you might want to check that out. All I know is whatever I do- I have to keep it cheap! FI is upset right now because I ordered custom hand painted maracas and he does not like to spend money!!! As for the bags, I ordered a pink/white beach bag for each the girls and a green pull-string backpack type bag for the guys. On the girls I will iron on my logo (below) but instead of our names I will put the girls name- I won't be doing this for the guys- I don't think they'd like it. On my bag I'm going to put "Mrs. D***" instead of "Jessica & Adam."

Hey girls,

It's been a while since I've been on. A LOT going on in my life right now (looking for a new job and buying a house)! shots.gif

It took me about a day to catch up on all the new posts and THANKS for all the useful information! I've been wondering about the cake flavors.

Congrats THOPE!! You must be having an amazing time!! Can't wait to hear all about it! smile03.gif

I've heard great things about DJ Mannia..there was a great review on this forum. Also if you booked in February they were having a sale - 30% off!! So I'm sure they will be running other discounts, just keep an eye out.

I've been stressing most about the Welcome/Rehearsal Dinner and the OOT bags!!

Rebecca, you calmed my nerves about the Welcome Dinner...The Spice Lounge terrace sounds great. I know a past bride had her reception there and it turned out beautifully!

As for the OOT bags...I ordered my actually bags on VISTAPRINT and decided not to use my monogram. I used a beach scene that they had and our date. They didn't turn out as nicely as I imagined, but they are still cute. I'm also stressing on what to put in them. I'm putting in the standard - advil, sunscreen, pepto, bug spray, etc. Towels seem like such a great idea, but where the heck do you pack them??

As for the dress code, we put that info in our passport invitations under a "Travel Tips" page. We got the info straight from the EPM website so our guests will know what to pack. Hopefully they will actually read them wink.gif

Anyways, good luck to all you girls! I know we stress out before hand, but EVERY EPM bride says everything turns out GREAT so try not to stress and enjoy! Happy Planning! cheers.gif

I am using the resort spa. My hair and makeup is included in my gold package. I figure if I don't like what they do I can fix it up myself in the end as my hair is not really going to be an issue. This does not really worry me as I have seen previous pics of hair done by them and they were all nice.

I have read through most of your posts and feel more confindent with each one I read that I made a good choice in EPM. I would like any information you have regarding the reception....such as cake choices, food choices, reception areas, etc. I am unable to open up any attatchments so if you could email me any information, I would greatly appreciate it. Also any save the date letters or examples you have would be wonderful as well. Thanks to all of you for your information....it is greatly appreciated. My email address is [email protected]

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
