Wow, I didn't even think about the dress code. Thank you for asking about that. I have to say that this website and all of your comments have made me so at ease with booking this location! I started out with Dreams at Maroma Beach but I have heard horrible things about their service. Yamina called me this week from Mexico and she seems very nice. I told her about this website and the nice things all of you have been saying and she didn't even know about it. She seems very sweet! I finally found my dress this weekend and can't wait to see it all put together with the veil and hair!! I also just ordered my save the date cards which will hopefully be here by the end of this coming week. I found the cutest cards on weddingpaperdivas.com. Next order of business is asking my friends to be in the wedding. I don't know why but I am nervous they will say no as it could be rather expensive as it is I am already asking them to go to Mexico! I was so excited to be able to book DJ Doremixx but found out that you can only use DJ Mannia which is totally fine but they are a bit more expensive and provide less then DJ Doremixx. Not happy about that! Does anyone have any experience with DJ Mannia that could tell me about?

Since I've last been on here:

I finally finished my STDs and got them all send out last week...took me several weeks to get them done but they turned out great!

Also bought my dress...I absolutely love it. Nothing like I thought I wanted until I tried it on and fell in love!!

Hope everyone is having fun planning!

If anyone has questions about the resort - we vacationed there last March so I can help out!

Wow time in flying by. I feel like I have so much to do and so little time. I can't wait to be in Mexico and guess what I wont have to wait very much longer. I just got my dress yesterday my alterations look amazing and I also got married yesterday at the courthouse. I need to finish up my OOT bags by buying more beach towels and tissue paper.

S Katrese your date is so close!! I know how excited you must be.

Just a note about my OOT bags - I wanted to do more of a beach bag for mine and I found some big canvas ones at Bed Bath & Beyond last week for $4.99!! They are off white with either red or blue handles. I wanted them pretty big because I'm using one bag for each couple I think these will hold 2 towels, two mugs and all the other stuff I end up with!

I was wondering about when to pick the flowers and cake too. Yamina has been very responsive anytime I've had to email her. I might send her an email and see what she suggests.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
