Hi Ladies,

I havent been on in awhile, I have been working on getting our website/STDs out to all our guests. I am getting married on 2/6/11 and recently started working Yamina on all the plans. I was wondering if anyone else (who is planning a wedding now with her) was told we can only use DJ Mannia? I am a little bit nervous because I wanted to go with DJ Dormixx instead, but Yamina said they only work with Mannia Company. Had anyone used him before?

Also, did Yamina mention to anyone that they cant confirm venue (aka X Lounge, etc) until a month prior to the wedding?

Thanks ladies, happy planning.

I am not sure about the DJ thing, we are just using our iPod. Also, Yamina said they can't confirm a venue until a month prior because that is when they know the availability of the locations.

HTH, Happy Planning!

True, Balam-Ha works great for 50+ guests and I have heard Yamina can help with the vendors. But I also now that Excellence has only ONE prefered caterer and those guys are good! I was able to attend a wedding this last Saturday and OMG! It was amazing. I will see if there are pics of the event...

Yeah I just spoke with Yamina last weekend and she said the said the same thing about the DJ, but I've read good reviews on DJ Mannia. Plus if you book during February you get 30%!! So since you have to go with them I would definitely book asap.

Yamina also told us the same thing about the venue. She said they close one restaurant a night and they vary. This is a bit annoying because I would like to get an idea where the reception will actually be held. However, I Do think the cocktail hour is definitely X Lounge, but don't quote me on this. msnwink.gif

Hey Ladies,

Has anyone used an outside vendor for design/coordination? I found a company called Dazzling Details but they are only in Los Cabos and after searching this forum (and many websites in Spanish:)) I cant seem to find anyone similar to them. The resort is great but I would like to be able to add some unique things...linens, chairs, shell name cards etc. Any suggestions? I'm getting so close to my date and afraid I'm going to have to go with the resort options only..

Thanks....nervous bride to be...feedback.gifgotsearch.gif

Hi Everyone,

My name is Cheryl and I am getting married at EPM on Sept 16, 2010. This thread is awesome so far and has given me some good tips.

We went to EPM when it first opened and at that point we were not engaged, but knew this was the place for our wedding. The gazebo is my dream location come true.

6 months away and now I am starting to panic. Bascially I have bought my dress and invitations but that is all we have done so far. Time to get my butt in gear!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
