What are you walking down the Aisle to?

Recommended Posts

Walked down the aisle to a song from the Final Fantasy X-2 soundtrack: Eternity: Memory of Lightwaves

Appropriate since we're both huge video game dorks and met when we were working in a video game store together.

No one even knew it was a song from a video game except us because it's such a nice piece.

Well, I would like to walk down the aisle to a pretty harp piece, or classical piano, but at the same time, I went to a wedding recently where they played "Sea of Love" By Cat Power and "The Book of Love" by Peter Gabriel, which was lovely. My sister also said she has a piece from one of our favorite video games she would play ("To Zanarkand" from Final Fantasy X, Shown here

gorgeous piece...)

The problem is, my FI is possessed by the idea we will be marching down the aisle to the tune of Zelda's "Hyrule Field". smile41.gif

"To Zanarkand" was on our list of choices cheesy.gif (it's so beuatiful), but we went with "Eternity: Memory of Lightwaves" from X2 because my friend walked down the aisle to To Zanarkand :P

I know its sooooo pretty. The FI just doesn't like Final Fantasy so I am trying to convince him its just a beautiful piece of music. He wants Zelda so badly though >.<

This version of Hyrule Field isn't that bad...but it's still a little too upbeat for something I would want to walk down the aisle to (imo):

Maybe you can comprimise and pick something from Zelda more like:

I'm sure you could find something from Zelda that is pretty. But I agree that "To Zanarkand"  is really beautiful!  It'll be hard to top.

I'm going to have "Bittersweet Symphony (instrumental)" for the seating of the guests and as my bridesmaids walk down the aisle.

Then "Marry Me" by Train for when I walk down the aisle.

And for the recessional I'm going to have "Say Hey (I Love You" by Michael Franti feat. Spearhead.  Definitely not traditional, but I love how it's upbeat and sounds tropical.  Plus it's all about love :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
