What are you walking down the Aisle to?

Recommended Posts

YAY!! Us Albertan's are full of great ideas! wink.gif

To be true, I'm really counting on this song and our surprise ceremony (our friend is writing/officiating it) to keep me from being a blubbering mess! lol, I need a little surprise and humor to help me keep my composure!!

soo!! The FI BM plays guitar so I'm getting him to play my song Canon in C for walking down. But sadly he wont be able to make it down, so it'll be on my Ipod. I figured it'd be still a good way to include him even tho he can't be there.

I love all your picks!!! I don't come on this threat to often because I would be changing my mind all the time lol

My wedding is in a little over a week, and I've just gotten to picking music today! lol Anyway, I'm not 100% sure on all of this yet, but here is what I'm thinking:

wedding party entrance: Bella's Lullaby

my entrance - Jonathan Cain's Bridal March

signing documents - Here, There and Everywhere, the Beatles

Recessional/Exist - The Best is Yet to Come, Michael Buble

Wow I hadn't even thought about music to walk down to and for the ceremony. Looks like I have my work cut out for me. Thanks for all the ideas. So many great songs in this thread. Now I see most everyone has a bridal party to consider but it's just going to be me and my dad walking down the aisle. I'm not too sure what to do music wise before/during/after the ceremony. How many songs do you think I'll need? It's only a symbolic ceremony so I'm not even sure how that all works and when I'd need music for.

You still have a year so you're good for time!!
You could possibly do 3 songs if you wanted, one for you and your dad walking down the isle, one for the document signing - even though you're only doing a symbolic ceremony there is still some stuff to sign, I know lot's of people who only did a symbolic and they still have pics of them signing stuff with their witnesses...then you can do a 3rd song for the recessional when you're walking away as husband and wife!!
I haven't really thought too hard on music yet...so I don't even know how much is normal!! lol
I only thought I needed one song until I read this thread!!
Good luck there are lots of good ideas for music, I took one whole day on you tube just trying to narrow a bit down!! I didn't get very far!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
