I bought the Wedding DJ app a while ago, but my wedding seems to be sneaking up on me, I can't figure out how to use it!! You can answer honestly....am I retarded? I can't open the app on my laptop, and I can't do anything with it on my ipod. Is there a secret? Please help!!! Man, I need to drink more!!

I'll just be asking one of my nephews to "DJ" as you have to move it along for the procession as it has slots for groom's procession, bridal party, and bride. I'm sure you could probably just make it one giant list instead of filling each one in. Then you could just keep running it. In any event, I'm excited about it because it costs much less than hiring a DJ and I'll be collecting requests for dance music for the reception from my guests so that we'll have songs playing that they will definitely dance to!

I am having such a hard time figuring out what song I am going to use! I was planning on using the somewhere over the rainbow, but one of my bridesmaids got married a couple weeks ago and that is the song she used so I dont think I am going to use it, I think that is going to be the song that we are going to use at the end after we are married. I am thinking about using Keith Urban "Your Everything" but I am not 100% sure

I have not loaded the app yet but I highly doubt you are mentally challenged!  You are stressed and that makes it difficult to accomplish what should be a simple task. Take a deep breath and a long drink and relax!

Pucca, where are you???  Because I will need you when I get the app as well!!!

Sorry ladies! I've not been able to check the forum lately - I'm working on my dissertation and I also was out of town for a wedding. It's been crazy. Yikes!! And now time is flying till wedding time!

Okay, so Tracey, no you are not retarded! Try it on the ipod. I don't know how it works on the laptop since I don't own a Mac laptop, sadly. First of all, make sure you have all the music you want in your music library and order into playlists for things like dinner music, cocktail hour, etc. And then, open the app. When you open the app, it should show you a blank screen entitled "Music Plan". There's a little + sign on the bottom. Click on it and it should take you to a new screen that gives you all these options of ceremony music/reception music. You can choose your order and use their pre-set names (i.e. Groom's Procession, Group Procession) or you can make a custom one. So for example, you select "Pre-Ceremony" and it usually takes a playlist so it'll show you all the playlists on your iPod library. Select one, and then it's ready to go. So play around with it and add a few things to the Music Plan. After you've selected a few things, you can test out by selecting "Player" and it will take you to the player that plays all the music.

Hope this makes sense and let me know if it helps. PM me if you need more help!

I will try this in the coming weeks and let you know if I need more help.  Right now, it sounds complicated but maybe when I am in the app, then it will make sense!  Thanks!smile03.gif

Pucca,

I think I may love you, but it depends on me getting this stupid app to work! I have even been emailing their support - not that supportive grrrr...I'm only 9 days away...eeek! And 6 days before I leave...double eeeekkkk!! But, good luck on your dissertation...wowza!! You are crazy! And, I don't have a Mac laptop either, so maybe that's what is contributing to my retardedness?

Brenners,

thanks for the love! I swear if I get this thing going, I will help you when I get back!! If I don't stab myself in the eye first!

Tracey,

Ha ha ha. Thanks! I know I'm crazy. I've been told that a lot. LOL! It's a bit puzzling why your app doesn't work because it should work fairly well after you download it. It's a bit confusing in the beginning but once you get the hang of it, it should be fine. You know, I don't know if they suggested this already but, try turning off your iPod (shutting it down completely by holding down the top button until you see the red "slide to turn off" thing on your screen) and then turn it back on. Maybe that will help. I didn't realize your big day is coming up so soon!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
