What are you walking down the Aisle to?

Recommended Posts

I'm going to get an acoustic guitarist to play:

One Love & Jammin – Bob Marley will play for guest seating

Is this love - Bob Marley will play for the Groom, Groomsman and Bridesmaids

Then I'm going to switch it up and have Angel by Jack Johnson by when I walk down the aisle.

For the procession:
The Hawaiian Wedding Song- Elvis's version but Jim Reeves arrangement (we're getting married on Oahu)
YouTube - Jim Reeves - The Hawaiian Wedding Song

While my dad's walking me down the aisle:
There is Love (The Wedding Song)- Paul Stookey (my parents had this played during their wedding and I love the song and the idea of using it as well)
YouTube - Peter Paul and Mary: Paul Stookey, The Wedding Song

I think the best thing about having instrumental versions is that it doesn't matter if we have to cut them short. He can just stop playing at the end of a verse.
Oh I love that song - "There is Love" My girlfriend sang that at my first wedding in 1980! during the signing of the marriage license.

I totally had forgotten about that song until today!

Great choice!

I think we're going to use the Plain White T's "1,2,3,4" as the recessional...and actually have our guy sing it. We've chosen Ingrid Michaelson's "The Way I Am" for our first dance. I like these because they're upbeat and have cute lyrics. We're not much for the uber serious love songs.

Thank you so much for posting these two songs! I loooove them! I'm pretty sure we are going to incorporate them some way.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
