My mom used to play Mah Jong every week when i was little and she has been buggin me for years to learn how to play - well tonight a bunch of my girlfriends came over and my mom taught us how to play - it was a lot of fun!!! we are going to start a weekly or bi-weekly game now.

 

does anyone else play? any tips / tricks? smile123.gif

My friends and I all learned how to play in high school from my friends' mom. Once in awhile we will have an MJ night where we all get together and play. It's SOOOO fun. We have a special board and everything.. heh. However I don't really have any tips or tricks for you. I still need a cheat sheet for some of the characters!!! :)

 

I think the more you play the easier it will get and you will learn strategies. I usually try to go for tiles all sticks or balls or whatever. Get big points that way. :)

i've only ever played on the computer at work, we have a touchscreen so its fun!

 

i didnt realize you could actually play it with the tiles in person, and as a group. how does that work? teams? or one-on-one?

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
