I just received my invitations from cards and pockets and I absolutely love them! What is my dilemma, you ask? Well, I am trying to figure out what info I want in the pocket portion. I am doing the RSVP card and envelope, but still deciding on the other 2 items. For those that have done these before, would you mind sharing what you did? I was thinking about travel info for one, but not sure. If you have any sort of templates or wording, that would be very helpful as well!

Also, for the outside I know people has used ribbon to close the invitation. I am wanting to use raffia ribbon somehow and then put a starfish on the outside. However, I am pretty crafty challenged and I'm not sure how to do this where people can still open the dang thing! If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them!

I will be sure to post the final result....good or bad!!! haha

My invitations had a pocket and the only thing I put in them was the response card. I have seen other girls put travel info or welcome party/dinner info, or a map of the resort. As far as the raffia, you could tie it in a bow in the front and attach the starfish, when the guests open the invitations, they will have to slide the raffia on and off. I hope this helps.

My invitations are pocketfold and there is a raffia ribbon on the outside. I have 3 pocket inserts- travel/accomodation information, welcome party invite, and response card/envelope. I have not yet seen my invites yet (getting them tomorrow!) but I believe the raffia ribbon with monogram tag is attached and then you can just slide it off, so that it doesn't ruin the invitation. Hope that helps!

Yes, that does help! Thank you!!! Would you mind sharing once you get them? I am wanting to know what people are using for the wording and just the overall look. Also, if the raffia ribbon is attached, can you let me know how they attached it? Tied in a bow, glue dots on the back, etc....
Thanks again!!!

Sure, no problem!
I can email you a pic of them when I get them this weekend if you'd like.
And, I'll let you know how it's all attached.

BTW, we're getting married almost the same day! :)

  • 1 month later...

I also have three cards in my pocket, I'm doing one for RSVP, one for my Farewell Fiesta (day after party) and one with travel information. I will try take a pic and post it for you.

I'm doing a closure with our monogram. The raffia will be pretty!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
