Out of curiousity . . .

Guys I figured it out. All these rude people are related to the guy at Melissa's (mexicomelissa) wedding who dumped his gf in the middle of their vacation!!! smile120.gif

I'm going to start telling my pregnant friends "Could you not give birth on the 5th? It's a really bad day for me, I have a teeth cleaning appointment that day."

"Umm Jessica could you tell your ill mother if she wouldn't mind dying after December 25th? I don't want to spend my holidays sitting shiva. Thanks, I really appreciate it."

Could you imagine if you said things like this to people? No of course not. Then why the hell would people think it is appropriate to say rude things like "It really hurts my feelings that I am not invited to your wedding." or "Is your wedding date set in stone b/c my daughter will still be in school at that time."

LMAO Glenda...you're too funny.

It's not even the people who ask if they're invited that are bad though...it's the ones who just assume that they're invited. I have a psycho aunt that wasn't invited to our wedding because she's quite possibly capable of starting World War III in under 30 seconds, and I get home to an email from her saying "I'm really sorry Russ & I couldn't make it to your wedding. We tried but things just didn't work out, blah blah blah. I hope everything went well for you and Jason"

First of all...who the #$@% is Jason? Is there something someone's not telling me? Is he rich? Good looking? I take trade ins.

And secondly...you weren't even invited you crazy beotch. If I wanted you there I would have sent you a piece of paper in the mail that said so. Don't apologize for not being there, apologize for assuming I even wanted you there.

Ok, I'll get off my little soapbox now :)

I can't believe your coworker had the balls to ask to be invited! That's some nerve. How is it that people can be so rude??

I don't know what I would have said. I probably would have stuttered a lot and got all nervous! I was worried about the same thing happening with the people I work with... so far so good. I'll keep my fingers crossed I guess.

This has not happened with me with co workers, but has happened with really extened family members and members of my childhood church whom I really don't speak to . I think people get really strange with the whole wanting to be included thing that they don't stop to think that the wedding will actually cost something to attend.

On the flip side of this... Aaron just had a friend contact him this weekend that he hadn't seen in years. He said he would love to be able to "have a big smile for us on our wedding day if [he] was invited!". Aaron never thought to invite him b/c he hadn't talked to him in so long, but is actually grateful that he received the e-mail from his friend - and we'll be inviting him to the wedding now!!! He wouldn't be there if he hadn't contacted Aaron, and now Aaron is super excited to have him there!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
