oops i forgot to explain...the reason he took the pics of the butterfly was because his wife loved butterflies and got so excited when she would see them at the cottage...so he figured thi one that was following him was his wife keeping him company

I'm not too freaked out since my roommate will be there. But it's still kinda freaky. Sometimes I get really afraid to look in the mirror at night or when I'm by myself in fear that I'll see someone else behind me or something. This hasn't ever actually happened to me before, but I think i saw it in a movie when I was really young, and I guess it has scared me for life...

Okay I hate the rain on the paranormal parade, because I love a good haunting story too but since you said it's an apartment...It's more likely someone in adjacent apartment has a remote that works on the same frequency as your roomie's television so when they change the channel on their TV her's is changing too...

I can remember pranking neighbors with tvs near a big window like this when I was a kid....

I wouldn't let it freak you out too much

lol.. this topic scares the crap outta me, but I LOVE IT.. its addicting.

I don't think I'm the "spirit attracting" type, but people all around me tell stories..

I was a property manager in Louisville, KY (where Michael and I met while cheering at the University of Louisville), and one of my tenants always complained of her AC unit not working properly.. we would constantly check it and it seemed perfectly fine.. then she came to us and said she woke up to a ghost (dressed in a colonial outfit..no joke) in her room at 4am.. and it had been messing with her AC unit turning it really high (yeah, I was like.. OOKKAAYYYY PSYCHOOO!!).. she did research on it and came back to tell us that apparently the house was the epicenter of what use to be war grounds in the colonial times, and read up on ways to get the ghost out because it was a reoccuring thing.. she told us she asked it what its purpose was, and it turned to her and said "i cant tell you at this time" WTF!?!?! she put salt around the window, and apparently sucked the ghost out, and never had any other issues.. now the paint is peeling on the window from the stupid salt though..lol

but this is also the same girl that while we had a mouse problem in the upper units of the 100 year old renovated house, called in and said she heard mice in her unit too... but she had pet mice. i believe shes just crazy.

-----

also, while in Cancun on my senior class trip, one of my roomies woke up to a mexican woman in the corner of the hotel room with her little children on her lap looking sad.. she woke up the girl next to her and she saw it too.. I was a little too intoxicated and never woke to see this, so I like to believe that they were just halucinating or something. lol

-----

michael, my FI, told me about his house growing up in Houston, and how there were always paranormal events that would take place within the home (the feeling of not being alone, noises, etc).. one night his parents were fighting, and his mom went into the bedroom to lay down while his dad went and tried to clear his head by watching television in the living room... she was pushed aggresively while she was on the bed (lights were out), and yelled at "him" for being such a jerk.. he called out to here from the living room asking what the hell she was talking about. she turned on the light and nobody was there. craaaaaazyyy..

when i was in real estate i went to a few houses that were haunted. i know for sure they were haunted...

normally before a showing i would go into the house and turn on all the lights, etc. but this one house had this weird energy and i was afraid to go inside. my clients showed up with their dogs and their normally really calm dogs went crazy. they were locked in the car and started going ape shit like they were rabid dogs or something...foaming at the mouth, trying to jump through the windows.

well, we went through the house and some of the windows were boarded. the house was really cold even though it was sunny and warm outside. i refused to go in a room by myself but of course did not say anything to my clients. i just hoped they did not like the house. well it turns out they thought the house felt "weird" and didnt make an offer...

i found out later when i was telling my partner that there was a double murder in the house. it still spooks me out to think about it.

It could also be a playful poltergeist. I think I have one in my house. He's not harmful, just VERY playful. Like I'm missing things. Or the cat sometimes stares at the ceiling and meows. Things get moved while both of us where sleeping. It's cute though. Doesn't bother me at all.

I do swear my grandmothers ghost stays with me though. There are things that I do, that she's the only one that ever told me to do, and its always for a reason. It's kinda weird, but we where super close so I like it. It makes me think she's still around watching over me =)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
