Dreams Punta Cana - Reception Locations?

Recommended Posts

We actually requested our ceremony and reception location in advance, when we booked our date with them of May 1st, 2009. We requested our time and location of ceremony (5pm on the beach) and the terrace (Bordeaux) that we wanted for the reception. Hmmmm..... seems odd that they are handling this two different ways. I haven't been in contact with the WC there as of yet b/c we need to get through the hussle and bussle of the holidays, but after the 1st of the year, I will be contacting her and hoping that what we asked for and reserved will be honored!

Shelley, thank you SO MUCH for all the information you provided, it helped me/us immensly with figuring out what we would like to do for our big day!

the Bordeaux Terrace looks amazing, its crazy that I didnt even see that restaurant while I was there but I know a guest who ate there. The view is stunning. I had requested my reception site months in advance but a month before the wedding the WC had asked me again which location I wanted, which menu, etc...I didnt really have many options for the reception since we had over 50 guests, we had to go with the Himitsu Terrace which is also a very nice location.

  • 1 year later...

Thanks for all the great info!

Does anyone know of a resort where we can have an outdoor reception that goes on later than 10:30? It breaks my heart to think of stopping our party at 10:30pm! Is it because the places we are interested in are family resorts? We were ready to book the Paradisus Punta Cana or Dreams but now we're not sure due to the time restrictions. Any advice?

Hello Everyone,

I just recently started planning my wedding and have officially decided on Dreams Punta Cana. However, I am looking to have 90 guests and think I will be using the ballroom, but I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of the ballroom with guests in it or just the layout. I'm nervous about what it looks like.

Also, is the ballroom not carpeted so that we can dance or will I need to pay the $550 for the dance floor.

Any help (and pictures) would be soooooo appreciated =)

Thanks,

Elly

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
