bridesmaid has yet to order dress

I have a bridesmaid who has yet to purchase her dress, and I am beginning to worry that when she does it will be too late. My wedding is three months away, and as of now if she ordered it the dress would arrive just five days before the wedding that is if it comes on time plus there will be alterations. If she chooses to have it rushed delivery it could still take 6 to 8 weeks for it to come. And everyday that she waits it gets riskier and riskier. What to do? I know she really wants to be in the wedding but she always has an excuse and I am not the type to go brideszilla nor do I want to be.

OHH it is time you bring out bridezilla, your entitled to at least one zilla moment!!!!! And besides u arent being mean you are just trying to make things easier for her and more importantly YOU! Is she saying why she hasnt ordered it yet?

3 months is cutting it close, call her NOW and say the shop just called and said you need to order your dress in order to have it in on time!

GOOD LUCK!

So here's my update on bridesmaid not ordering dress. I tend to be extremely non-confrontational especially since this is one of my dearest friends. Needless to say I sent her a text message telling her I did not want to appear as harassing or pressuring her but when did she think she was going to order the dress. I told my fiance that I felt like a huge nag and hated it and it was really stressing me out because I feel like she has put me in such an awkward position. He suggested that I don't mention it anymore wait a couple of weeks and if she still hasn't ordered it then tell her she may not be able to be in the wedding. This feels awful.

You are way too nice and I don't know why we have to be bridezillas when slackers need to be shaped up! It's simple, ask her what her deal is and et her know how her unwillingness to order is impacting you. People being in your wedding is a great honor however, either you can do it or you can't. Get a date from her and do it together on the phone so you KNOW its done. I to was cutting it close, actually I did and I just had to have str8 talk with the girls. Needless to say harrasing or not, the dress is ordered!

Does she know why she needs to order it? i.e. that it takes a lot of time to get dresses in? I was shocked at how many people I speak to who have no clue about the dress order timeframe - literally shocked as these were all smart people. Many people shockingly have the the idea that you just go in, try it, order it, and it's yours in a week or less!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
